don't let the price fool you

this is an operating museum, casino, hotel, and a very good restuarant. the only way to get the incredible prices is through hotels.com but the hotel is worth much more than the price of the rooms. It has been recently renovated and a good job they did. all the amenities of the other hotels in slightly smaller rooms in a 1906 hotel. very friendly staff, this is a wonderful alternative to the pick-pocket strip hotels. Don't wait to book, this place is usually too full to add a day once your there.

Such a steal!

This hotel is great. The rooms are small but extremely comfy and nicely updated with retro flair. If you like the night life, i would request a room on the Fremont side of the hotel because you will get a great view of all the action down below. The staff is really friendly and there is free valet parking for guests. The only thing that I guess I would complain about is the thinness of the walls, but then again, I've never stayed in a Vegas hotel that was soundproof.

Best Little Hotel in Vegas

I really don't like Vegas! But I had to go for my interior design conference at the new Las Vegas World Market near downtown. My husband who likes Vegas and downtown booked us at this hotel. I was LIVID! He said we're staying here because it's close by the Market. I didn't believe him, but went kicking and screaming. Got there and what a SUPRISE! The hotel is small, clean and quiet. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was soooo nice and accommodating. The restaurants food was good I ate too many of the famous $1.99 shrimp cocktails. The room was newly painted in wonderful colors and well decorated,small,comfortable and modern. I will book there again and again!!!!

Great Old Hotel

Exceptional Value for the price paid.

Fun but misleading

We only registered for this hotel because of the price, rating and the queen size bed. When traveling with my husband I need more space than a double size bed. The hotel says all their beds are queen but when we arrived the bed was a double. When I went and talked to the office I was told they were "small queen" not "large queen" beds and all the beds were that size. Luckily the manager was able to find us a room with a queen bed that had been "replaced recently". The hotel is over 100 years old and is right on Fremont street but the room we had was quiet even though it was small. All the rooms are small because of when the hotel was built but it is clean and well maintained. I appreciated management fixing the problem for us.

Great price

Room is small but clean. The price was great! You could hear music from Fremont Street but wasn't too bad. I would stay there again.

Verry impressed

The rooms were very clean the furniture was updadted and the bed was comfortable, I was very surprised when I walked in. The room is a little small but did the job the bathroom was a little old but clean. The only problem I had is the noise level was high at times but overall great experience for the price would deffinatly go back!
