Right idea, but leaves a little to be desired

The hotel is a cute boutique style property. It is pretty well appointed for a hotel in it's price range. The staff is friendly, however they made a huge mistake during my stay. I was in from out of town and had no cell phone coverage. I had loved ones trying to meet me at the hotel. When they called, the front desk told them that I had requested no phone calls be connected to my room! So, they called all night, to no avail. Other than that, the stay was fine. Rooms are small, but clean.

Awesome

New Orleans is the best city I've visited. Everyone there is beyond generous. We ended up staying two extra days because we just didn't want to leave. Hotel le Cirque's room rate convinced us to stay. True, it is right on the edge of the arts district and the French Quarter, but it's within walking distance to nearly everything (except maybe the zoo and the stadium, but i guess you could take the trolley or a cab). The entire hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The front deak staff were very helpful with local restaurant recommendations. The cleaning staff replenished our room everyday, even though we didn't even leave our room until after noon on most days (and 2pm on one day). I'm honestly not sure if this hotel is "the best," but I'm confident that you will not be disappointed, especially for the price. But, be warned, unless you can shell out the cash for valet parking for everyday in this economy, just park behind the hotel. It's about $13 or $13.50/24 hrs instead of the over $30 valet/$20 self-parking. Seriously though, I studied all the other hotels online for months before I booked this hotel, and I'm satisfied that I got what I wanted and for the price that I paid. And just to let you know...do not get a inward facing room, because people can see EVERYTHING.

Great Hotel

The hotel was about a 20 minute walk from the French Quarters and only a couple of feet from one of the cable car stops. The hotel staff were very helpful and willing to take action; the woman at the front desk greeted us, checked us in, and booked a tour for us in a matter of minutes. I would return to this hotel again. The room was small but overall, the hotel was great.

Please try to park in the public parking directly behind the hotel. It is only $12 for 24 hours when vallet is around $26 for the same amount of time.

Good room for the money

We paid very little for a room in this hotel. That being said, it was good for what we paid for it. We stayed two nights on an off peak weekend. First the not so great stuff...The mattresses and pillows were thin and the bed moved around when you slept. The room was not insulated well so you could hear everything going on around you. The tub wouldn't drain. The front desk said it was just complicated and they got this same complaint a lot. The best part was the area. It's quite a few blocks from bourbon street but the walk is nice. Our location was very safe and we walked around and took the streetcars at night without any problems. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had a great trip. The steamboat is a great break from the city and all the restaurants are great. Definitely get to Jacquemo's early or make reservations. We had a two hour wait, but the food is so worth it!!

Amazing for the price

Amazing hotel for the price. Very nice staff. Only complaint would be that the room was little small and our in-room safe was closed and maint never showed up to open it, so we were without safe all weekend.

Great room for the Money

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Le Cirque. Actually, this was my second visit, and I always go there for a romantic outing. I love the bathrooms, and I think the employees are courteous, helpful, and polite.

great room for the money

great location at Lee Circle and very convenient to get to french quarter, the room was small but perfect in content, also the bathroom was completely remodeled and fresh, I felt the price was an excellent value compared to the other hotels in the area, I would go back there again tomorrow

Not bad for the money

Stayed there a week before Mardi Gras. Right on the St Charles Ave Parade route and easy to get to the French Quarter. The room was pretty clean....a bit small but no complaints.

Save money and walk to the French Quarter

When researching hotels, we looked at French Quarter hotels that were either cheap, run-down hotels or super-expensive ones. For a decent price, we stayed at Hotel le Cirque, which was nicely decorated, had excellent service, seemed clean and modern, and was a 15-20 minute walk to the French Quarter. It is a little sparse in its amenities, as it doesn't have a pool or business center, and it doesn't really have a typical hotel restaurant, but it was still nicer than other hotels at similar rates. Plus, it is right off St. Charles, where the streetcars pass and is right on a Mardi Gras parade route, so we were in excellent position for the parades. I was satisfied and would stay there again.
