Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 34Luxury Hotel Room
This was an incredibly beautiful Hotel with luxuries such as music playing in the room, quality towels and robes, valet parking with call ahead service, a quality restaurant and bar as well as room service. I would not bring my children to this hotel but for a romantic getaway it was wonderful. The neighborhood is a little noisey with air traffic nearby and road traffic starting early in the morning. I would definitely recommend it.

Rooms remodeled since our last stay - very nicely done. Roomy, comfortable, excellent location, near restaurants, and shops. Easy access to highways and major thoroughfares. Lovely lobby and the personnel are very friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 34Beautiful Historic Hotel
Hotels.com had a great last minute rate for this hotel. We live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area but had evening plans near the Melrose and decided to book this hotel and avoid driving home late. We had never stayed at the hotel, but it really was great. We just had a regular king room but it was large and very nice. Their was a mini bar, flat screen tv, desk, comfy bed with very nice linens, an oversized closet and an antique tub/shower combo. The bathroom was nicely separated from the room and had all the period details you would expect from a historic property. We had breakfast at the restaurant. The food was fine, but there is a better and less expenssive place for breakfast within walking distance.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 34outstanding hotel
The hotel was fabulous. The room was very simple. For the price paid, I expected a little more elaborate room to meet the standards of the hotel. It would have been great to have a bath tub for two especially with the bath robes that are offered and the in room service just to make the room a little more cozy and romantic. Walls are plain--no cozy feeling there. Overall stay was very nice.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 34Great "Staycation"
Overall our hotel experience was very positive. We stayed in a king suite (800 sq ft)that felt like a wonderful, classic NY apartment. Pros: size of room, bar in lobby area, service, price, location of hotel, overall decor Cons: outdated fixtures in bath and dated shower, housekeeping in hallway (there was a slice of pizza on the floor in the hallway for two days), carpeting in room was stained and old looking (not a major distraction), TVs were small, Hotel is under renovation and these minor issues should be fixed.
