Great value

The Metropolitan is a great deal for the price - no real complaints other than the fact that the free wifi was spotty or nonexistant in my room, which was located near the end of the hall.

Service was excellent, staf went the extra mile to help. Good value - so incredibly convenient

Good value

This hotel, in the heart of Chinatown, is well-situated for the subway, Chinese and Japanese dinners, and an easy walk to the Art Gallery of Ontario. Rooms are better than simply functional, although they no longer have mini-refrigerators. Adequate fitness room, not great. Good restaurants in the hotel, offered at a modest discount. It's worth joining their loyalty club, even if you only stay once; it's free and gives you free in-room wi-fi.

We had a great stay at the Metro

This Hotel is in a Great location, Rooms were clean, Free WiFi, two restaurants in hotel, and quiet room. We had a great time in Toronto and think part of the reason is the hotel was so comfortable, And the cost was unbeatable for the location. We are definitely going to stay there on our next visit.

Comfortable yet small

My room was very small. I think they reserve small rooms for clients who use Hotels.com. The wallpaper was pealing off in areas, and the window would only open by a few inches. The air conditioner didn't work, and you can't get Wi Fi in your room. However, the bed was the most comfortable bed I had slept in at a hotel, and the room had a certain charm to it. The location was great. I guess if you are looking to stay in the theatre district and you aren't relying on Wi Fi then I could recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel

I had a brief stay at the Metropolitan in Toronto. The Chinese restaurant was fabulous - wonderful food. Service was a bit slow but the great food more than made up for that. The only complaint I had about this hotel is that it was a bit noisy due to the dorm across the street. The students were out on the street yelling until about 4am (on a Monday night!). That interfered with what would have been a good night's sleep. I could clearly hear them from my room on the 9th floor. I might try it again depending upon the price of other hotels in the area.
