Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 49You get what you pay for
I was trying to find the cheapest rate out there and for the price I got, I got what I paid for.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 49Old and out dated...
If Bally's will put you in the Clariton...be careful. This part of the hotel is old and outdated. The bathrooms are tiny and most of the surfaces are badly worn - there were even cigaret burn marks on the toilet seat cover. The gym is horrific and discusting. It looked like the cardio machines hadn't been wiped down in years and there is practically no equipment. Worst of all, the gym closes at 6:30, which is early if you are working a convention...

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 49Fix this place
The Bally's Atlantic City has three towers - the Bally, Dennis, and Claridge towers. I stayed in the Claridge, which I guess they keep as the "cheap" option. After reading other reviews on the site, I was a little concerned about the hotel in general, and the Claridge tower specifically. The Claridge tower desperately needs a makeover. The carpets were dingy, and had water stains. The rooms and floors smelled musty. The TV was an older set (the other towers had flat-screens). Fortunately, I had a large room on the corner overlooking the ocean, so the view was nice. The bathroom was tiny. The hotel itself wasn't much better. The main level (casino) floors were filled with slot machines. Since the smoking and non-smoking sections were not really separated, the entire casino floor smelled of smoke. To make matters worse, I saw smokers in the non-smoking sections - there was no enforcement. The restaurants within the hotel were very overpriced. I miss the inexpensive buffets you can find in Vegas. The only exceptions are the Johnny Rocket's and the 6ix restaurant (if you get their special). Finally, the hotel really needs to rethink their internet access fees. They are horridly expensive.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 49not actually bally's
apparently you can book with bally's, then get placed in the claridge...on a "private floor," which means only one elevator goes to it, and no employee will be able to effectively guide you there. but for being able to walk to the boardwalk AND the convention center, it's tops.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 49Needs Improvement
Due to physical handicaps, we requested a "near-by" room. Although check-in was after 5PM, found the room in total disarray - bed unmade, bathroom dirty and leftover food from room service. When we contacted the desk and asked the manager to change our room and send the new keys for exchange we were told "no one was available and we should come back to the desk". We made the trip back to the desk -with our luggage in tow and then to the newly assigned room. They did not offer any assistance to accommodate two senior citizens with handicaps.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 49Pricy for what you get
I've had more amenities at a standard off the highway motel than here. Elevators to rooms are scattered throughout the hotel with no indication what room range they serve till you get to your floor. Parking is far from the main desk with no bell hops available unless you choose valet parking. Where ever you what to go takes you through the casino which extends the length of your walk, especially cumbersome with kids and luggage. Our particular floor, the elevators shut down going to at 6:30 without a key. Would not recommend this. Stay outside the city if you can.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 49Great room for the money
Much better than expected. The only issue I had was the sink was not draining properly when I checked into the room. I called to report it and went out a bit when I came back all was fine. Clean and comfortable stay

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 49Good value and location
The Claridge Tower was the area of the hotel where I stayed. It's an older section but it was clean. One complaint was noise from those in the hallway. There's lots of space around the door. Otherwise, I was pleased. All the food I consumed there and in the casino was very good. Lucky at slots too! Taxis are parked outside and it was handy since I had a meeting at the convention center.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 49Great Location
I had to go to Atlantic City for business and got a great deal at Bally's. It's right on the Boardwalk, which is perfect. The room was pretty big. The bathroom was a little small, but one window faced the ocean, which was great. The only complaint I had was they put me on the floor with the pool/health spa, so the smell of chlorine drifted into my room from time to time and I could hear people out in the hallway - probably more so than on other floors. Other than that, everything was great.
