I've stayed at the Dupont prior to the renovation the air didn't work great. When I first got there they gave me a room that was small, I ordered a superior room. They changed the room for me. I was very very happy. The renovation is great, everything about it. My best time at the Dupont -3rd or 4th time. I had to ask and pay for a fridge. No in room coffee but starbucks is across the street. I'll stay there many more times. It's convenient, reasonable and friendly.

Cramped Quaters

We felt the rooms were too small and we got in each others way. It would be fine for one person to stay in a standard size room, but for a couple, it was too cramped.

Great Hotel

The rooms have been beautifully remodeled and are very comfortable. So close to the Metro that everything is truly only minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

an outstanding stay

I cannot be more satisfied with my stay at the dupont hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was outstanding and very helpful answering any and all questions and doing there best to resolve any and all problems quickly and graciously. I only ate breakfast in the hotel but the staff there was equally polite and served a good meal. Its location to the metro station made it a quick walk across dupont circle park to the station and access the rest of DC. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to walk just a block to the weekly farmers market. It is close to many fine places to eat and grab a drink. A+ in my book.

Great hotal!

Clearly a hotel designed for the business traveler, but our family of four had a great stay at the Dupont. Great location near the metro, very comfortable beds with a modern decor. The room was a little small, but for our purposes it was fine. Received extra towels with no problem and the front desk even gave us some cold bottled water as we left in our car. I would highly recommend the Dupont to anyone.

Value for your money

Location is great. Feels like a European hotel. The bar is great and excellent for people watching at Dupont Circle. The room is designed down to every corner and maximized to its full potential even though they are small in size. But if this hotel was in NYC the room would be big and they would charge you double. The one thumbs down is the sounds echo from the bathroom and can be heard quite clearly in the room.

Great location

Several nice restaurants nearby and the Metro station was a block away. Room was nice for the money.

Better Than Expected

According to previous comments, there were some people who felt this hotel needed improvement. I'm not sure if there was an overhaul or if my expectations were lower...in either case, I felt the hotel was great. Location was perfect in terms of the surrounding neighborhood and distance from the major sites. The park on DuPont Circle was a lot of fun to people-watch and meet others. The room was very clean; had a modern look and updated accomodations. There was even heat running through the bathroom tile floor! The only complaints I have are: It was a bit tough to get to while driving during rush hour; the restaurant on the first floor was very pricey for what you got; and the shower took several hours to drain (potentially would have overflowed if another person had to take a shower). Overall, great find for the price and would definitely go back!

Beautiful New Hotel

This newly remodeled hotel is in a lively location. Beautiful contemporary rooms, convenient business center and awesome bar...it was one of the delights of our stay in D.C. Hotel is close to a metro stop which makes getting around the city very easy. We were very pleased with our stay.

Outstanding Location - Outstanding Hotel

Great downtown location. Safe area with convenient shops and restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very modern, exceptionally clean and comfortable, albeit a bit on the small side. Will definitly stay here again.
