Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 19Not quite right.
I am thrilled that this architectural gem has been restored. Unfortunately, the decor is a bit over the top and will likely not age well. And the management is not up standard. Linens are washed in a scented deterent that some may find offensive or allergic. There is no unscented option. And the room had some issues. There was a cracked mirror and the HVAC thermostat was way to sensitive so the room was either hot or was constantly recycling on and off (literally every few minutes). But the biggest disappointment was the $25 per room per night undisclosed "resort fee"?!?

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 19what i liked and not liked
liked the fact that it is fairly a new hotel didn't like the noise of aircondition didn't like the overall reception experience - and as the hotel is so spread out, it is an anxiety to locate or orient with the premises.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 19Vegas without the Casinos
I have stayed here once in the spring and thought it was a very quiet romantic hotel, although boutique and hip, especially the pool layout and experience. Maybe its due to the recession friendly prices, but this trip was anything but romantic/relaxing. The clientele that it now caters too is the same crowd you would see at the MGM resort in Vegas or the "Rehab" party at the Hard Rock in Vegas. Now if you're looking for that, its great, however I'm wasn't exactly looking to watch the UFC fight and its fans party it up in the pool when I was trying to escape all of that, otherwise I would have just gone to Vegas -- it even would have been cheaper. Next time I'll make sure its during the week or possibly a slow weekend.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 19I wouldn't call it a "Noble House" more like an 70's retro house.
It was different in a good sort of way. Very Colorful with lots of patterns for the eyes to absorb. Loved the chandelier over the table in the alcove. It felt like I stepped back in time. Very comfortable bed.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 19Great Refurbishment, still working out the kinks
The Riviera has an impressive lobby and feels a bit like a Cool Vegas hotel. Unfortunately I arrived on a Sat night around 8:45 and it took me until 11:15 to get into a room. They had no room ready! The first room they tried was very nice, but when I open the bathroom door the room was flooded! Then I sat for nearly an hour and 30 mins before they found me another one. When you are only staying two nights, losing your Saturday like this was pretty annoying. The hotel was also incredibly noisy! It was like frat night at the hotel with lots of screaming 20 somethings, banging around inside and outside. The rooms look great, but the tiniest closet inside a huge room, which was bizzare...I had no where to put my suitcase, and I had a huge, huge suite. Bizarre planning. So if you have an overnight bag, are 20-something heavy drinker, and don't mind waiting two hours to check in...your set!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 7 of 19A Vegas Wannabe w/a New Coat of Paint
My experience with the Riviera began before I arrived. I called the main line twice with standard questions & spoke to employees who had a tone of indifference as to whether or not my query was answered. That set the tone for the rest of the stay. To visit the Riviera is to look into the vacant eyes of a pretty girl - there's no substance. Everything feels like an afterthought to increase revenue - the renovations, the resort & spa, the food. The employees all came across as being bothered by having to work their shift. The kicker was this - upon receiving my bill at checkout, there was daily resort fee tacked on. !!!! Now, I get that this may not be disclosed upon booking in some legal jargon, but to not sign off on this additional base charge at check-in astounded me. Had I known, I would've inquired, "what does this include?" so that I could've taken advantage of what I was paying for. Instead it was/still is a mystery. Awful.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 19Excellent Staff Hospitality
The staff were extremely friendly and greeted you each time with a smile. The property was nice and the pool even better. Would like to be there again on a day when there wasn't a special event pool party going on. It was a fun experience but the DJ and Vegas scene for over 8 hours was a bit long. Great travel fun otherwise.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 19Opened pool to the public with loud music.
Unfortunately they opened the large & nicest pool for a public event with loud music from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on the Saturday of our 2-day visit. We had looked forward to a quiet pool-side experience and it did not happen.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 19Hidden Fees
While the rate I received from Hotels.com was great, there was a hidden $25 per day resort fee tagged on by the hotel for ammenities that I felt should have been included (parking, use of gym, computer use). Also, be prepared to spend lots of money if you order drinks, eat at the restaurant or make use of the spa services. I would visit again, but would definitely have to save up to make the bset use of the resort!

The hallways are dark and dingy and the locations of the rooms are too spreadout and confusing. Took us forever to find our room. Bathroom is too small,

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 19Great room for the money
Our stay was very nice...except for the following. The employees outdoor break area and kitchen was right beneath our deck, so we had loud talking, cigarette smoke and the roar of the kitchen fans to deal with for four days. I had just quit smoking 7 weeks prior and didn't want to have to deal with cigarette smoke on my vacation. We checked in on a Thursday and immediatley asked to be moved to a different room, we were told that there were none available. I was just glad that we had a great room rate. The Resort has all kinds of extra charges...valet parking, (we parked on the street)and resort fees, etc. In another words nothing was complimentary, except for the paper (which wasn't even deliverd to your door).
