Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 39Never Again
Access for this hotel is difficult to locate. When I called the front desk from the road to ask for directions I was told I'd taken the wrong freeway exit & that was the sum total of help offered. Once we arrived we found no toilet paper in the room, the hotel pool had been closed by the MO State Health Dept, and the restaurant was closed (for reasons I didnt care to inquire about). On a positive note the room was clean and the gentleman who drove the airport shuttle was very helpful and a true delight.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 39You get what you pay for
The lady who checked us in was eating and was rude . The hotel needs a lot of cosmetic repairs on the upper floors. We stayed on the second floor and it had a horrible smell. The cold water barely worked in the shower so beware. The WIfi had a horrible connection. There was dirty clothes left from a previous stay in the dresser. As for the location , someone previously stated It was about 8 miles from the zoo.. its more like 26 miles. The breakfast was ok , waffles , fruit , yogurt and bagels . The breakfast area is set up poorly so you kinda have to squeeze behind columns to get to the food. If you don't care about any of that .. then it was fine ....

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 39Needs Improvement is a big understament
This hotel is very hard to find according to internet directions and it took two calls and 45 minutes to get us there from the interstate. Upon arriving at the hotel the first thing you notice is the horrible smell and the ripped off baseboards in the lobby. Next thing we were disappointed about was to find the pool was "under repair." I felt like I should have been informed of that when I booked my room. I would not of stayed there simply for that fact because we were on a family vacation and were looking for a decent, reasonably priced hotel with a pool. The first night we tried to get more towels and a pillow and besides my husband and son being greeted by the front desk clerk who had just been assaulted by her boyfriend and made that known, we were told that they were out of towels and pillows and were given the towel mats for the floor to use. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, toothpaste crusted in the corner by the sink and the room smelled very musty and smoky even though it was a nonsmoking room. The air conditioning did not work downstairs in the lobby/breakfast area. We were told the maintenance people were backed up and they were sorry but did not know when it would be fixed. There were panels missing in the elevators exposing lighting and wires. Needless to say this hotel is no diamond in the rough. We managed by staying out from the time we woke up until we were ready for bed. If you are going on vacation with your family or staying with more than a night I don't recommend here.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 39Good hotel but loud
Right next to airport, make sure you request a room on a lower level so that overflying planes wont keep you up. Great Breakfast

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 39Frustrated
We got there and the halls were extremely hot and humid. Our room was hot until the air FINALLY kicked in. They were doing a lot of renovating to the hotel which we weren't aware of so there were holes in the wall and trim missing. Also, pool was closed which did not make my 3 year old happy.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 39Poor Service
The front desk person had no idea what customer service is or how to please the customer. also you better bring more pillows if you want more than one on your bed.

Ramada is about what you would expect from an older hotel. A few hundred thousand dollars would fix it up nicely. missed not having a restaurant on site. Staff courtious and efficient but didn't go out of their way to answer questions about restaurants, Metro train, etc. Clean, convinient, and priced right. Will stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 39Awesome room for your money!
My fiancee and I had a great time at this hotel. It was a little warm going down the hallways, but the staff was extremely friendly. They printed directions to landmarks for us. Plus, the housekeeper organized our room everyday, even organized our shoes. Some people don't like "warm" pools. I love them. I cannot stand a cold pool. The sauna was out of service, but I could live with that. I was there mainly to sleep. It is run down a little, but that didn't stop me from enjoying myself. We are definitely going back to the hotel when we go to St. Louis again.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 39Great hotel
I only have ONE problem with the hotel, the pool. That is my ONLY complaint. Considering it is an Airport hotel, I was surprised it had a pool at all, but there was only a maybe 3 feet by 2 feet section that was less than four feet in depth, which makes it hard for two five year olds to enjoy swimming. As I said though, that is the ONLY complaint. The people were very friendly, courteous, helpful, respectful and nice. The hotel was VERY nice. The beds were very comfortable and the balcony was an added plus. The room was much bigger then the typical hotel setting, complete with a sitting area AND a table and office chair. When we go to STL again, I am pretty sure, even though it is a little out of the way, we will stay there. Thanks!

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 39Clean Room, Disappointing pool and breakfast
We decided to book this hotel because a few reviews said the breakfast was really good and we also wanted an indoor pool for the kids to play in. Breakfast was okay the first morning--only one waffle maker, no protein, no pastries, but included toast, bagels, and cereal. The second morning there were no waffles--the staff informed us they just hadn't bought more waffle mix and didn't seem very concerned about it. The pool was old and VERY warm, almost like a hot tub. There was no hot tub as stated. The rooms were clean though, and the front desk staff very nice.
