Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 32Great suites hotel for the $$$$
This hotel is a great deal for the money. Nice hotel staff, clean large rooms, comfortable beds, great little kitchenette. What more can I say, just a good value. I have stay here twice, and it is still the only hotel for me in Orlando.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 32Good hotel
The hotel was overbooked so they upgraded us to king suite for same price. The decor outdated a bit, but comfotable. Have nice breakfast and complimentary happy hour every day for two hours for beer and wine, which was very nice. The location is hard to walk to International drive is about a 10-15 walk because you have to walk around buldings and cannot cut thru, so if the weather is bad - you have a face all the terrible traffice.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 32you get what you pay for
Check in took too long, nobody wanted to help. The room was too small, and had a strange odor to it, but it was clean!. Might be able to do better with some extra effort as there are MANY hotels and motels to choose from in this area.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 32Breakfast was okay, but not great. were not real friendly at the front desk.
The food was okay, but not as good as some other places that have breakfast. The front desk people were curt with us when we checked in (3 adults and 1 older teen). I saw them being rude to teens with headphones on, acting like they were trouble, when I saw no one even acting rude toward the people at the desk. The bathroom in our room had some small things that needed repairs. When I todl them, they acted like it was trivial. Each was small, but 3 things wrong in one bathroom wasn't good.

The 1 good thing about the hotel was they were gracious enough to let me check in a few hours before my scheduled time.

The harthoen is a great place to stay, especially if you have family memebers or kids. I love the kitchen and the seperate bedroom. The breakfast was very good also. if you drink they had wine and beer at 5:00pm.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 32Fantastic hotel, great location
For the price, I've never stayed in a better hotel. In fact, I've paid a lot more to find bigger lobbies, and fancy restaurants only to have a basic room. We got a suite and the room included a nice kitchenette with a dining table, an ajoining living room area with a TV and a seperate bedroom with its own TV. One odd thing, the living room TV included a VHS player, but no DVD player. The pool area was very nice, and there were tables nearby to eat breakfast outside if you like (instead of the dining room). We did. The hot tub was hot, but the jets didn't move the water much. Also, my son and brother enjoyed playing basketball at the court near the pool.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 32Fabulous for the money!
This hotel exceeded our expectations...not only did we have a full kitchen including refrigerator, stove, and dishes, but also a dishwasher! We took full advantage of it cooking up our leftovers from a fabulous restaurant nearby the night before. We were pleased with the hot breakfast buffet, although fresh fruits and yogurt would have been a nice addition. The happy hour from 5:30-7:30 every night with free beer, wine, and snacks was awesome!! One reason I originally booked this particular hotel was because it had a basketball court, which came in very handy with our guys:) Thanks, Hawthorn, for treating us well!! We'll definitely book with you again:)

Very clean and roomy! I will definitely be staying here again! My girlfriend and I were very impressed. Excellent shuttle service that runs from there to Universal Studios too!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 13 of 32Fit our needs
We stayed here to do some outlet mall shopping and were plesantly pleased. The rooms were very nice, and the breakfast in the lobby was a nice touch. Very friendly staff, and front desk clerk. It is a little difficult to find if you arrive in the dark.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 32Good for the price I paid
This Hawthorn was OK considering what I paid on Hotels.com. The shower faucet was difficult to work, either too hot or too cold. I know it's included in the price but they sort of just phoned in the breakfast buffett. (Sausage Gravy but No Biscuits!) Finally, whoever heard of a Hotel that does not have an ice machine for guest use? We had to ask a special favor to get some ice from the breakfast kitchen. Average hotel but there are much better values in the neighborhood, just check Hotels.com

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 32If you use ice, choose a different hotel.
The hotel was good considering the price I paid but I've stayed at many hotels and this was the first one I've ever seen that did not have ice available to guests. We had to ask a special favor to get some from the breakfast kitchen. Also the hot water faucet in the shower was very touchy. Water was either too cold or way too hot.Other than this it was average for a median priced chain.
