Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 271Great location
Great location: upper West side restaurants, neighbohoods, Central Park and museums. Good service, nice balcony.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 271Great hotel once they moved us to another room
Very friendly hotel and great location however I would not recommend the standard room. The smallest room we have ever stayed in while in NY with a view of a brick wall. The TV was broken so they moved us to a different room that was larger and much better.

Totally best deal in the best neighborhood. Friendly, easy, bigger than average NY hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 271What a RIPOFF!
For the rate I paid and the previous reviews I expected this to be a pretty nice hotel...it was not. Once I got into my room I noticed the TV did not work. I called the front desk to inform them and they said "yes we know the TV doesn't work in that room sorry...and we are totally booked so we have no other rooms" Fine, I can live without TV...but the room was very hot so went to turn on the air...that didn't work either nor did the wall mount hair drier. When I called down about the air I was told to open a window. This place is just a bad hotel in a pretty good location.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 271Perfect location, quiet and safe area,
We found the hotel to be very clean, neat from the lobby to the room. Only two blocks to nearest subway. Quiet @ night

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 8 of 271Totally excellent
we loved everything about it. The staff was so accomodating and friendly--speaking when you were coming or going and opening the doors for you. It is close to subways but the street its on is more private and I liked that. It was nice coming in at night--they had lighted candles on the outside steps. There is a rooftop sitting area that we really enjoyed and did not have to pay extra for using it. Bathroom is simple but nice. Had places to put your personal items. Beds were comfortable and loved the down comforters. And it was very clean. There are several restaurants in the area but around the corner across Broadway we discovered the Westside Market. Several times we went in there and got really good already prepared food and fruit to take back to the room. Would definately stay there again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 271Great Location
We were pleasantly surprised with the staff's attentiveness. They were willing to make our stay enjoyable. The only issue with linen was immediately remedied. We would stay here again on our next trip. The room was clean and very quiet with the exception of the air conditioner. The bath was newly remodeled but the tile floor allowed the shower water to spread over half of the bathroom. The surrounding neighborhood had wonderful choices for sightseeing and restaurants. A good value for the level of service and choice location.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 271Beautiful hotel near Central Park
On the Ave has extremely helpful, kind people that work there. On the 16th floor is a terrific open-air patio for great day or evening viewing. Highly recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 271Very comfortable hotel with great location
This was our second stay at this hotel. This time, our room was even nicer because it was roomier. The hotel location is very convenient for bus and subway, grocery store, and restaurants, and the front desk and concierge staff are friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 271Best hotel we've ever stayed in NYC. No complaints what-so-ever
The queen bed and comforter was very comfortable. The layout and storage in the room was convenient., the bathroom was trendy - flat screen TV mounted on wall was a way to relax after a day on the town. The best hotel we've stayed at in NYC for the price! Highly recommend.
