That is the best thing about this hotel. The rooms were moderately clean and extemely cramped, but that is not what you are paying for. The neighborhood is quiet and close to resturants, mass transit, Central Park and the Museums. When you travel to NYC there is too much to do, this hotel is great for spending all day out in the street then coming home, crashing in the lumpy bed for 7 hours, waking up and getting out to do more.

Good

Great room for the money. Good attention and location. My second time in this hotel. Is necessary more attention in the four floor cleaning. I recommend and come back again.

Needs Improvement

Too many mosquitoes. TV didn't work. Has fans but no air conditioning. Emergency evacuation map on the door has no current room position mark. One of the two windows is screwed shut and won't open in an emergency. The positives are low rate and good location.

This hotel offers an extremely minimal room--the kind I used to pay $1.50/night to stay in the Middle East. Broken TV, broken air-conditioner, few working electrical outlets, lock that has been previously forced, broken screens on windows. Very litte furniture. The beds are clean and ok. Despite its proximity to the Natural History Museum, it is not a good place for families. Best for a group of singles looking to divide this price between 5 people--and only crashing for the night. Ad should probably be clearer about the clientele for this hotel.
