Excellent Hotel

Our deluxe king room was a bit small, only 1 chair. The bathroom paper was not soft. However, the stay was comfortable. The breakfast room off the main lobby was delightful, delicious choices, and the best coffee. We would return to the Taj.

Great value at the former Ritz

Excellent location. Really comfie bed. Nice view. No coffee maker in room, but staff provided one, and an empty mini-fridge.

Comp Upgrade

I checked in and it turned out that they had a suite. I didn't even ask, I was prepared to check in to the the room I had booked. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this comp'ed upgrade. We had a great stay in this beautiful hotel right across the street from the public garden and at the beginning of Newbury Street.

worth it for the location!

the location is amazing, right across from the public garden and swan boats, and at the top of Newbury Street minutes from the best shops and restaurants. the room was fine, pretty furniture, etc. but definitely lacked warmth or a festive atmosphere. actually, that's what I noticed about the hotel in general, the people were pleasant and responsive, but there was absolutely no buzz or elegance. On the other hand, the service was great, other than having to wait 4 hours for a crib requested at check-in, the staff responded beautifully to a late checkout request, and even let me know when I'd left my room door partially adjar. All in all, I would go back - just not with such high expectations.

Great hotel and reasonably priced

For the price paid, the Taj Boston has exceeded expectations. The location is perfect, located right on the edge of the Botanical Gardens. The Arlington T station is located right around the corner. The concierge was very helpful, giving specific directions and coordinating our travel plans. For shopping, the Taj is located right on Newbury street. Our shower required repair, but that was a small event in a great experience. Highly recommended.

Great experience

The Taj Boston is offering great services on international level. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are excellent and arranged with charm. While located in the heart of Boston, the hotel provides undisturbed relaxation and quiet ambient. Recommend it? Definitively, YES.

Welcome To Boston

From the frpnt door to the front desk the service was very good. Loved the bar, where they also served High Tea. Never went to the restaurant. Sheets were good. Bathrooms oversized...and double sinks....I love that.

Great name, location... but needs work

This is one of the premier hotel chains in the world but this location needs some work. The rooms are of an excellent size; however the furnishings are lacking. The bathroom amenities, television, and furniture are all standard 3-4 star fare. This detracts from the Taj Boston's otherwise exemplary staff and services, (although I did experience a problem with the complimentary shoe shine). I found the bar as well as breakfast on the lobby level both comfortable and of high quality. You can't beat the location, and the hotels.com price is great considering this fact.
