We have stayed here many times, lots to do here. Always relaxing no matter if it is business or pleasure.

good location, nice and friendly staff.

I hope they could have given me room not on ground floor and at higher floor, if they gave me ground floor room because of very good price, it should have been disclosed at time of reservation that for the price i am paying, i will get ground floor room..

staff strictness!

the only complaint we have is that our business partner got locked out of the room and they would not give him a key because he wasn't the main party on the check in. We called and verified him as the guest and they still wouldn't give him a key. They said we would have to appear in person to let him in. Not wanting to interupt our golf game we had to get very ugly with management to let him in our room. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Great Place To Stay

Spacious room (king suite) overlooking ocean. Needed a weekend to get away and work, and this room was perfect. Internet access worked without a hitch, and there was plenty of room to spread out my documents. I am considering returning in a month or so with my family just for fun.

Very Well Maintained

Like most Myrtle Beach hotels, this is an older building with small bathrooms. Facility is very clean and very well maintained. Restaurant prices are very fair and staff is courteous. Parking is in a deck attached to the hotel.

ABSOLUTELY yes!!

One of the best locations we've EVER stayed in, and we travel a lot. To explain how good Compass Cove is, we left and are immediately scheduling a trip for next summer to come back. Yes, it's that good. Our room was a 9th floor ocean view, we left the balcony open all night and listened to the crashing waves. The room had a kitchenette and it was just perfect. Almost nothing I'd change about this room.

Needs Improvement

For a 3 star hotel it was missing 2 stars during our stay. The room, a suite, was cramped at best. Even though it was clean, it did not smell clean or feel clean. Parking was inadequate, we had to park across the street most of the time. Because parking on the street was allowed, we had to pull way out into the street to see to get out of the parking lot, a very dangerous situation, at best. The wind howeled around the door, this kept my wife up most of the night, and she was the reason that we were there. During our stay the door lock quit working and I had to wait in line in the lobby for over 30 minutes during the 3pm check-in to get someone up to check on the door to find out that "it just lost its programming". Not good! The best part of the stay was the quality of the staff, they were mostly young (mid 20's) but very friendly and courteous and very willing to try to make your stay as bearable as possible.
