Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 14Great Choice
This is a beautiful hotel on the outskirts of the French Quarter. It was an easy walk to the entire French Quarter and easy to reach by car. The common areas and room were beautiful and clean. The pool and courtyard were also very nice. We would not hesitate to return to the Maison Dupuy Hotel the next time we are in New Orleans.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 14Great hotel
This hotel was very nice. My only concern was that the maid came by about 9 and we were in the room and therefore she left but never returned after we left for the turn down service. Other than that the hotel was very conveinent to Bourbon st and had parking which is a must in New Orleans.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 14ok hotel
The Maison Dupuy Hotel was a pretty good place to stay. I did however have a few problems. When I booked my vacation I had booked the room for 3 people. 2 Days before the trip the other two people were in an accident and were unable to come. Yes, both are ok however their money would be tied up for a while now. The hotel wouldn't make any accommodations as far as the rate goes. So the hotel rate per person more than doubled since I was the only one to go. Then there was the bed. All they had was a very thin sheet, a heavy (and I mean heavy) comforter, and a blanket that was even heavier. This made sleeping a little uncomfortable. I was either too cold or too hot, and usually woke up soaked in sweat. Made me think how many others sweat out in those beds...ewwww. Then lastly when I was packing up, I checked the entire room and found cracker crumbs under the edge of the bed. so I know they didn't even vacuum during my entire 5 day stay. Third, every morning at 10am they had cocktails and music by the pool. I don't know about you but I like to sleep in on my vacation, and I wasn't able too. I would stay here again if it was complementary but next time I'll be looking for another hotel

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 14Small problem immediately fixed - great stay
There was a small maintenance problem in our room and we were immediately switched to another one (that ended up being better!) This is a fabulous hotel for soaking up French Quarter atmosphere without being so close to it that you can't sleep.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 14Needs Improvement
The hotel was nicely maintained, the room met our expectations for the most part, and the service was good. However, the hotel charges an up-front deposit per each room for "incidentals," which may not ever be used by the guest. The hotel charges for parking, which we were unaware until arrival, and the charge for parking is outrageous. We have never before incurred parking charges for any hotel stay anywhere we have traveled. There is no coffee provided in the room, and the hotel charges $6.00 for a pot, plus a $4.00 "service" fee on top of that. We found it much cheaper to drink coffee outside of the hotel. We will never stay at this hotel again and will not recommend the hotel to anyone. The hotel may cut rates, but clearly they make up for the reduced rates by gouging the guests on everything else.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 14Great servicein the front
I must say the only thing I have to complain about is room service not coming (at all) for two days out of the six I stayed there. The front desk was fantastic, VERY helpful... Overall I give them a 9 out of 10.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 14Maison Dupuy, a great place to stay
Would the hotel have rooms for the next night, we would have stayed longer. The only minus is that we paid more (not much more) for a room with a view, we ended up with what they called a room with a view to the Patio. No big deal. The cheaper one was supposed to be with a balcony, we should have taken that one. Pool and jacuzzis are great.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 14Didn't get what I paid for
I paid extra for a balcony room and all they would offer was a balcony on the street instead of the courtyard. If you know anything about the French Quarter that is not a good option. I even called after I booked the room in March and stated that I only wanted a courtyard balcony. They ended up giving me a courtyard facing room with no balcony but did not change the price.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 14Best hotel stay in years.
Wonderful location, friendly staff, unbelievably comfortable beds. The only thing I would change is no breakfast with the room. They do serve coffee downstairs, but it would be nice if they served bagels, muffins or fruit. Just something small. I am so pleased with this hotel and will go out of my way to stay here again!
