Wonderful Hotel

Whenever we come to San Diego, we always stay at the Britt Scripps Inn. The staff is courteous and helpful. We love the breakfast! We would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast.

Loved this place

Absolutely beautiful, perfect location, all the rooms were charming, our breakfast was wonderful and all the staff were outstanding. We would stay there again.

"Oh My" Britt Scripps Inn

Wow great !!!!! The Inn was just what our 31 wedding aniversey needed,perfect location walk to just about everthing.

Unbelievable great service.

Stayed out back in apartment. Was very nice and quiet. Walked to Gaslight district but took taxi back because good distance and uphill.Walked back and forth to zoo. That was nice.

Perfect from the Ordinary Hotel

My girlfriend & I loved this place from the decor to the service. Breakfast was outstanding! My only recommendation would be to ask to be on the 2nd floor to avoid the foot traffic. If you want something out from the ordinary try Britt Scripps.

Nice Bed & Breakfast

The Britt Scripps Inn was very nice, though it had that "old house smell". Not a bad smell, just brought back memories of grandmas house. Breakfast was wonderful!

Quaint, historical and wonderful!

Listed as a historical landmark, this former mansion was top notch in all respects. Also included full breakfast which was gourmet all the way!!!

Very highly recommended!

A beautifully restored historic home that is a real treat to stay in. Wonderful staff, delicious gourmet breakfasts, great location 2 blocks from Balboa Park and close to Little Italy and the Gaslamp District. Highly recommended.

Truly Excellent

This was my first stay at the Britt Scripps Inn--indeed, I did not know of its existence until I stumbled across it on this website, and I visit San Diego a lot because my daughter lives there. I was absolutely "wowed" with this Inn. Sparkling clean, deliciously comfortable bed, gorgeous Victorian-inspired bedrooms filled with antiques, fabulous gourmet breakfast (with great coffee!), super location in Hillcrest and beside Balboa Park (and near the museums, IMAX, etc.). I cannot rave enough about this small, private, exclusive Victorian Heaven in the midst of bustling downtown San Diego. Highly recommended for Romantics and single business travelers--esp. women. I plan to make this my 'Home Away From Home' from now on. Only downside--the Britt Scripps is pricey.
