Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 170Large rooms -Great location
Large room with nice view. I was at a conference at the Hyatt which was sold out so walked there each day. The room was large, comfortable, well appointed and much larger than I would have had at the Hyatt.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 170Great room and location
I simply loved the location (and price!) of this hotel and had a fabulous view which I thoroughly enjoyed all week. I was near the elevator, but surprisingly, it was not the least bit noisy. I would certainly stay here again.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 170Terrific location
We enjoyed our time at Hotel 71 immensely. The location was great - walk to theaters, restaurants, sights and shopping. The hotel was clean, simple and very nicely maintained and staffed. We will return whenever possible.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 170"Great location, OK Hotel"
The Location was great! The hotel needs some improvement, the carpet on the hallways were dirty and I didn't like the lobby at all, the room wasn't that bad, the bathroom needs more cleaning.

I did not have a refrigerator in the room even though there was a place for it.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 170Great Location!
Amazing location on the Chicago River within walking distance of Michigan Ave. with all the great parks and museums nearby. Nice bar and breakfast area with promise of a restaurant in the near future. Lovely room overlooking the river and looking north over the city. Great stay all around.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 170Uncomfortable beds
A luxury hotel with very uncomfortable beds. Very hard mattresses. Could not get a good night's sleep on most nights, due to this issue.

Very good hotel. Good location, great view from rooms. Good food at restaurant but we waited 45 minutes to get our food.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 170Very nice for price!
this is a really nice hotel. it was once a really very nice hotel - but it's interior decorating is the model of hip 10 years ago (think those bubble shaped couches they used to have at starbucks). but the location is fantastic, the service is good, the room's are big and clean, the bedding is nice...and the prices they're offering these days are a steal.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 170Excellent Experience
The staff was exceptionally helpful - provided an umbrella when I forgot mine, and even had a refrigerator delivered to our room when we had dinner leftovers one night. The kitchen staff graciously reheated for us the next day. My only suggestion would be that each room have a frig and microwave. Beautiful room furnishings, great view of the river and the downtown area. We would stay here again.
