Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 34Boston in Style
Well I've never stayed at a hotel with a Bell Captain before, but this was great. The entire staff was helpful and warm and ready to assist you in every way. The room and the view were wonderful and the hotel was near great restaurants, stores, and sights. The Concierge getting us the excursions that we wanted. we had a great time.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 34Outstanding Hotel/Great Neighborhood
We were in town to see a concert at Fenway. This hotel was in a beautiful neighborhood and was within walking distance to the ballpark. The rooms are a little small but well appointed and typical size for a downtown hotel. Very trendy decor and great showerhead. Beds were very comfortable also and a nice flatscreen TV. The parking is additional and you do have in and out privilages. Brassarie Jo is downstairs and provides great breakfast for an additional fee. I will definately stay here again on my next trip to Boston.

I chose this hotel because it had an outdoor pool. However, the pool was very small and always crowded. The service at the pool was very poor.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 34Perfect Location and Outstanding Hotel
I was very pleased with our accommodations. The hotel was clean and convenient to transportation. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Only concern involved security knocking on door at 9:30 p.m. and asking about smoking in the room. He did not show identification. I found this very disturbing and frightening. In the future I believe the front desk should call ahead and security should have photo identification. Despite this one negative experience, I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 34good hotel
All in all I was satisfied with the stay. The location was good, within walking distance of Boston Commons and other downtown sites. Great location if you want to shop. My one issue was with parking. Although I stayed in the lot for under 24 hours, I had to pay the full 24 hours (as expected) plus an additional two hours worth of parking at an expense of more than half the full day rate, just for an additional two hours. I left the lot two hours after the hotel's 3PM checkout - this despite parking at 6PM the night before, 23 hours earlier.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 34NEEDS IMPROVEMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OUR FIRST NIGHT AT THE HOTEL ROOM WAS A DISASTER,THE BATHROOM HAD LIKE FRUIT FLIES,THERE WAS TWO GRAPES ON THE CARPET, THE ROOM WAS STEAMING HOT,WE CALLED THE FRONT OFFICE , THEY TOLD US THAT THE A.C. FOR THE WHOLE BUILDING HAD BEEN TURN OFF,DUE TO THE FORECAST OF THAT NIGHT AND THE REST OF THE WEEK WHICH WAS GOING DOWN IN THE 50's.(we are from south florida and are used to sleeping with the A.C.real cold.) THEY TOLD US TO OPEN THE WINDOWS AND SLEEP WITH THEM OPEN , WHICH CREATED THE NEXT PROBLEM OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SLEEP THAT NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE TRAFFIC,SIRENS,TRUCK NOISES AND THE BEST OF THEM ALL WAS THE GARBAGE PICK UP AT 4:00 A.M. NEEDLESS TO SAY I CALLED AT 7:00 A.M. AND ASK FOR A ROOM CHANGE! I HONESTLY THINK THAT THE HOTEL SHOULD LEAVE IT UP TO THE GUEST IF THEY WANT THE A.C.TO BE ON,ESPECIALLY FOR WHAT THEY CHARGE! WE WENT LAST YEAR SNOW SKING AND WE HAD A.C. AT OUR DESPOSAL, EVEN THOUGH THE TEMPERTURE WAS IN THE 30'S.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 34Great Location - Modern Rooms
Wow, we really loved the location and were pleased with the modern rooms. The T was right outside the door although we walked to copley when we wanted to go outbound on the B an C. Shaws is just up the block with a Duncan Donuts inside. Everything was easy to get to and right next to shopping and Northeastern Univesity.

The hotel worked out perfectly. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. The location is excellent...right in the middle of Back Bay. Not only would I recommend this hotel, but I returned a few weeks later while on business. Brasserie Jo is very good, but a little pricey if not on expenses. I will definitely be staying at the Colonnade again.
