Perfect Ocean View

Stayed in unit 327, which has the best view and gets the breezes from front and side, which you will appreciate. It is very relaxing, but the unit overall needs some updating. It isn't the Hilton, furnishings/bedding are a bit worn. If you want to wake up to the sounds of the ocean, this is for you.

Good Place

We just needed a quick overnight place to stay. Worked out well and the staff was helpful

Good central location - not fancy but nice

The hotel grounds were nice, the ocean was close and view was beautiful. Front desk staff was helpful. Maid service was minimal, hardly there. Problem with next door alarm going off, said to contact security, called left message never got answer. Front desk didn't take care of either so at midnight for three nights alarm went off for an hour. Kitchen had some problems but generally really nice, especially with prices of eating out. If you want to save money pay a little more for kitchen.

Depends on your needs

When we booked this condo we were pretty happy, however when we got to Kauai and the condo and realized it did not have air-conditioning in a state that is consistently hot we knew there was a problem. Upon speaking with the person in charge the following morning they were very considerate and gave us a full refund so we could change hotels, that's when Hotels.com was called and other arrangements were made. If you do not need air conditioning, this condo would be perfect as it was very clean, spacious and the views were spectular as well as the ocean breeze was wonderful, we could not stand to be in the heat for 24 hours a day and try to sleep.

Great location and facility

Excellent condo. Facilities are very clean, good location near beach and quiet location. Hotel is under renovation so there is some scaffolding on some buildings. However, work must start late and end early because we never heard any work noise over the course of 9 days. Condos have full kitchen (fridge, range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, lots of cabinets), with good quality pots pans / cutlery. Nice touches like garbage disposal and dishwasher. Rooms also have free cable modem broadband internet access. Bedrooms have powerful ceiling fans and secure slitted windows which can be safely opened wide at night for good air circulation. We found it very comfortable. Facilities also have on-site laundry at reasonable rates ($1 wash and $1 dry) The one mediocre experience we had was with their reservation system. The person at the desk seemed to be unable to access the hotels.com reservation. There was some uncertainty as to if we had an ocean view or ocean front room. The person on duty did the conservative thing and put us in an ocean front room while they attempted to figure it out. We were told we could unpack as they wouldn't relocate us. The next evening they called us on the room number very agitated and told us to come in early the next morning to relocate to an Ocean View room. We repacked and went down and then they told us we wouldn't have to relocate after all so we had to unpack all over again. I was told that we would be upgraded for the whole stay and it was "part the hotels fault and part your fault." Not sure how it's the customer's fault when you book on hotels.com and the hotel can't figure out what type of room was reserved. In the end however, it was handled nicely even if it was inconvenient. aside from the minor issue the facility was very good and we'd stay here again.
