Microtel Inn & Suites Buckhead

A little smelly...

The staff at this hotel was wonderful. The breakfast served was pretty much standard when compared to others hotel chains. They had fresh fruit and bagels, danishes, juice and cereal and an ample supply of everything. My son would have preferred a few vegan options (he got tired of oatmeal and fruit). We were there a week after a lot of Atlanta was flooded by rain. There is a creek at the back of the hotel and the staff told me it came up to the back of the Inn - I suspect it went higher. There was a musty smell throughout the hallways mostly - the rooms smelled strongly of cleaner. While it appeared clean the smell was a bit off-putting. The picture of the outside makes it look very nice and actually the Inn pretty much matches the picture - but the surrounding area was a bit concerning. It is on one of those streets that has pockets of new and old, shady and fancy...and there is an adult club (strip club) right across the street. I was a little concerned to be out at night. The location is very close to downtown Atlanta and a really good location as far a proximity to a lot of attractions and colleges is concerned.

Decent

Travel a lot with soccer team and this was very comfortable and room was in good condition. Only negatives are the location next to a topless club and the inadequate breakfast.

Don't ask for an iron!

the hotel was nice and clean the only problem I had was the irons did not work and, air conditioner leaked on the carpet and the bathroom light was dim. I was not trying to set the mood I wanted to see what I was doing! LOL!!

You Get What You Pay For

We stayed in this hotel for four consecutive nights. The room my husband and I were in had a queen bed and that's all there was room for. There wasn't much room for us and our luggage comfotably. We did not get maid service until we asked for it. The towels started to tear as both my husband and I were drying off after our showers. The breakfast had no fresh fruit and two tables at which to sit and eat. The front desk personnel were just there; they were not outgoingly friendly, except for one man at night. These are facts for you to decide for yourself whether this hotel is right for you.

Great Service and Nice Rooms!

I enjoyed every moment of my stay! The service was A+ and the rooms were really nice. The place was so much more than expect considering the low rate I payed. I would definitely return.

Definitely well worth the money. Stayed from 6/10 to 6/12 and was pleasantly surpried. Staff was friendly, attentive and polite. Close to I-85. Only downside was the pool hall next door and "adult" gentleman's club across the street, but didn't hear anything from either location but the patrons looked a little sketchy, but they never bothered us, so it was all good!

enjoyed my stay

I was very well pleased with my stay at the Microtel. The staff was very helpful. I just wish they had had a coffee maker in the room because the only thing I didn't like was their coffee.

Get More Bang For Your Buck

I recently traveled to Atlanta and needed a resonable hotel and stumbled across Microtel in an internet search. Well, let me tell you, this chain exceeded my expectation. I usually stay at another chain, but due to overbooking, I had to find alternative accomodations. I will ALWAYS check here first. They give you a complimentary breakfast, a free newspaper and courteous service. I would definately recommend. PLUS, the WIFI is FREE...worth the stay alone.

Pink Pony

The rooms on the side faceing the Pink Pony are very noisy! especially on a weekend night. I recommend staying on other side of hotel.

Exceptional Value

The room was clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The hotel staff was pleasant and very professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to coming again!
