Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 10Great location near downtown and Old montral.
The rooms were in good condition and the staff was very friendly. I will give A+ to staff. Only drawback was Hotel parking was not included in price and was full when I got there.

It's a modest hotel(which was undergoing renovations) but the staff was perfectly pleasant and we had a nice stay. Free internet access and being 1 block away from the metro were definitely 2 things that were a plus and next to cost, were the primary reasons we chose this hotel. We ordered room service one night and there was an extraordinarily long delay because the front desk did not take down our room number. When we called back down, they got our order correct and took off the tax to make up for the delay. Other than that, we were satisfied with our stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 10Great Location and Service
It was an excellent hotel for those used to traveling in Europe. It is by no means an American luxury hotel, the rooms are cozy and the beds are not very plush. But if you are looking for easy access to Old Montreal, The Village, downtown and Metro, this is a great value. Our only complaint, we were there for New Year's, and so was a giant group of high schoolers on some sort of trip. They were loud and disruptive, but the staff were courteous and even hired additional security to sit on each floor at night.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 10Location, location, location
If you want to be centrally located to explore the unique and living residential neighborhoods and ethnic restaurants that make Montreal such a rich and interesting place to visit this is the hotel. Located within walking distance of the historic Old City, China Town and Latin Quarter, rooms are spacious and clean, service is friendly and it is a fantastic deal for the price. We were both very happy with our selection. Only problem is limited parking at the hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 10Lord Berri a good value
We stayed here and at another much fancier convention hotel. Except for the lobby, I preferred the Berri in every way. If you don't mind a bit of walking, it's between the Old town and Latin Quarter. I highly recommend it.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 10Great location
The Lord Berri Hotel was in a great location. The room was very spacious and clean. It was super easy to find and the front desk was so helpful. I would recomend this hotel to anyone that I heard was going to Montreal. THe price was just right for my budget and the hotel definately exceeded my expectations.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 10So-So Hotel
The hotel was mediocre. It wasn't horrible by any means, but it needed some help. We happened to be in Montreal on a very hot two day trip and the A/C left a little to be disired on cooling the room down. The area of the Latin Quarter/Village is fine for those who are open to new experiences and can handle it. There was no hotel parking when we arrived and the private lot next door refused to allow us to park even though there were ample spaces. Our conclusion is because we asked if he spoke English rather than mustering our way with bad French.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 10Great access to the metro
This hotel was conveniently located near one of the main hubs of the metro and my wife and I found it to be a great, cheap way to travel throughout the city without a car. As far as the hotel went, it was definitely a nice hotel at a good value.
