Not what it seems like online

My girlfriend and I needed a place to say a few nights before and after a show we were attending and found this hotel on hotels.com. Our room was not what it looked like online, they also messed up our reservation. We requested a premium queen and got a 2 person standard bed room. They were almost reluctant to relocate us but did. They charged for parking at a high price but you have to accept it for street parking is unsafe. The only positive thing with the hotel was the food from the resturante inside.

Great Location but old room

It has a nice location near to the metro and bixi (nice tranportation sytem by bike. The room it was clean but old. The carpet it was in bad condition and the ac even is was working looked broken. The furniture is old but confortable well at least if you going only to sleep a few hours it is ok. The only renovated area is the lobby and some work on the front facade.

Good for the money and nice cozy restaurant.

We got in about 9:30pm and did not find a restaurant close enough to walk to that was open. We returned to the hotel and were pleased with our dinner there. Room was nice and only a short cab ride from the Amtrak station.

Good choice

I had to spend one night in Montreal, I wanted something affordable close to the old city.

Great location

The hotel was in convenient walking distance to the sites in Old Montreal.The staff gave clear driving directions for leaving Montreal upon our departure. Although there is an underground parking garage, it is tiny and cramped.

Excellent Value, Great location

Staff was very helpful and courteous. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Great centralized location with easy access to the Metro station. I would stay here again when I return to Montreal.

Nice place, Nice area Worth the price

Very nice hotel and area.

Loved it

Liked the convenient location near a metro stop so one could get anywhere in the city. Staff spoke both French and English and were most helpful.I have stayed here before and will do so again.

not so fast...

The hotel was way outdated and had stale smell. Plenty other low budget hotels that meet todays standards such as Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Holiday Inn Express, all in a few blocks. The complimentary breakfast was not worth it either. Parking in the hotel was an extra $17. US a night. I would not recommend the hotel.

"Loud Berri hotel"

Room was clean. a/c seemed to fizzle out in the middle of the night. Very loud location as far as diesel bus and truck traffic on Berri St. all night long. Trying to sleep with the window partially open when the a/c went down, was almost impossible.

Did not at all look like the pics!

The photos posted showed a nice, contemporary hotel. When we arrived, we were highly disappointed. The garage set-up was horrible, with a steep hill leading into a tiny basement garage with very narrow spaces that you had to back into. There was no valet, or bellman. We struggled to get our bags out of the car without denting the car parked next to us, then had to navigate our way to our room. We were given the wrong size bed at first, and had to change rooms. Room was dated, not at all contemporary. Room was clean enough, but had a funny smell. Good location for Latin Quarter. Would not stay here again.

Nice Location

This hotel is within walking distance of many tourist spots. It looked as though our room wasn't vaccumed in quite some time and the toilet ran all the time. Didn't hear it too much had the Air Conditioning on all the time. Other than the dirt under the beds all else was fine. would stay again.
