Great hotel

This hotel worked out great for me on my recent trip to Athens. It is only a few blocks from the Ackropoli Metro Station, and it is only two blocks from the new Acropolis Museum and three blocks from the Acropolis itself. It is in easy walking distance to a whole series of cafe's and restaurants (just keep walking around the Acropolis, past the entrance, and down the hill a bit). The staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was pleasant (although very small). The buffet breakfast was included in the room rate I paid, so I ate there for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel - the location can't be beat.

Great location

This hotel was in a great location - within walking distance to the New Museum (not open as of 6/09) the Acropolis and all the sites. There was a lot of shopping and resturants nearby. I did not feel afraid to go out at night by myself. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodated me even though I arrived 4 hours earlier than check-in. The rooms were very clean, but also very small. However, you don't really expect to spend alot of time in the room. My only recommendation is to make sure you have a map of where the hotel is when you arrive in athens because it was hard for me to find!

Excellent price for your money.

Extremely clean, centrally located near the Acropolis. Five minutes walk to the Parthenon. The staff couldn't be more helpful. I would defenetely recommendent it.

Good value for the money

Philipos Hotel was conveniently located to tourist sites and the metro. Hotel staff was attentive and "took care of us". Pleasantly surprised with the view from the balcony.

Convenient Hotel at Reasonable Price

This hotel is located within walking distance of the Akropoli metro station and is ideally situated for walking trips to the Acropolis, Hadrian's Arch/Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the Plaka district. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast each morning is a nice bonus at this hotel. It is a convenient, clean, moderately priced hotel where I would stay again without hesitation.

Free internet

After being in ATHENS at two different hotels, this one was a better deal. The breakfast was better, location and they had fast speed computers with free access. You really cannot not tell from the star rating about the quality of the hotel. Everyone was helpful.

Great large rooms with a great cleaning staff, and free breakfast everymorning.
