Bag lunch "continental breakfast"?

Wow, really disappointed. The air conditioner was literally falling off the wall. The included continental breakfast was an apple, a small danish and a granola bar in a lunch bag. Plus there were no signs, so if you didn't ask you won't even have gotten that much. Very strange.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Plaza Hotel!

Although I travel quite a bit to Arizona, I had never stayed at the Ramada Plaza Hotel. To my surprise, I was very pleased overall. First off the rate of the room was great. I was traveling and didn't want to spend too much money on hotel faire. Even though the hotel desk operator informed me that the rates currently were "summer rates", it was worth it. The hotel had a spacious room, with very renovated upgrades in it. A spa like bathroom with sliding entrance door, mini fridge/microwave combintation. As well a great air conditioner that was almost at times too cold. But with staying in AZ, that was fine. I was centrally located near a mini shopping mall, well known eateries, and everyone that assisted me at the hotel was friendly. I was even able to order take out, which was delivered to my hotel room, and received a discount, since the hotel has a relationship with the restaurant. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. And I would definitely stay at the Ramada when visiting the Phoenix area.

Very Clean room

Check in was easy and clerk was very nice. The room was better than I expected and very nice smelling. I like the no smoking policy that the hotel has. I beleive the rooms were recently remodeled. If I was in the area I would stay there again. The downside of this hotel was the breakfast. A bag with water, granola bar, apple and danish is not my idea of a continental breakfast. They had no tea bags only coffee in room. When I asked the desk for tea they said they didn't have any.

Was OK but will not stay again

The place was clean which is very nice. However, the "heated" pool was not heated - it was ice cold. The new showers only had half of a door and no water pressure. The bar/restaurant was convenient because the surrounding neighborhood was scary (metal detectors at the bar across the street. But the staff was nice.

Great Value

My brother and I stayed in this hotel as a last minute replacement after I read reviews of my initial hotel. Since I was only paying $5 more per night than the other hotel, I wasn't expecting much better. However, I was pleasantly surprised. All the staff were friendly and polite. The housekeeping was excellent. Everytime we made it back from a trip around the city or to eat lunch, the beds were made and the towels in the bathroom replaced. Only complaint was that the breakfast area was crowded, but that was a product of the Fiesta Bowl. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Right off of I-17

Nice place to stay if your planning on getting around Phoenix. Its right off of I-17 and that makes it easy to get to and from your hotel.

Our check in was the easiest to complete that I have ever done - it took less than 3 min - staff could not have been any more friendlier, courteous or helpful than they were - room was very clean and spacious - as it is so very conveniently centrally located I will definately be staying here again and again!

Exceptional Customer Service

We found the front staff to go above and beyond in regards to assisting their guests. They took the time to offer suggestions of places to visit, providing assistance in directions; obtaining maps through Google search. They always had a smile on their faces! Would go back and stay again!!

Needs Improvement

I was somewhat disappointed with this hotel. It was supposed to have been recently renovated so I expected our room to reflect what I'd seen on the website. It did not, we got one of the rooms that hadn't been renovated and the carpet was pulling away from the edges. There was a big gap under the door and we could hear all the noise in the hallway. Also one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because they had free wireless internet. However I could not connect to it and the staff was unable to help me. There was also no where in the room to hook up to the internet. I could have gone down to the business center and paid to use the computer but I felt that was unfair considering all the difficulty I was having connecting to the wireless. Instead we went to the library and used it for free but it was very inconvenient. We were mapquesting a lot of places we wanted to go and the printer at the library was not working so we had to write everything down.
