Expensive & Lack of Ameneties

Although we got a great deal through Hotels.com, the incidentals at this hotel are very expensive. Parking, with in and out privileges, is $45 a day. One has to tip very frequently and they have no vending arrangements - even ice has to be ordered from room service. Otherwise, the hotel is very comfortable and extremely convenient for downtown Chicago.

Very pricey guest parking!

Everything about our stay was top notch but the parking in the hotel garage was too expensive!

Superb Hotel

The hotel itself was excellent, location right by Rush Street and close to shopping on Michigan Ave excellent also. But what put it over the top for us was the friendliness of all the staff. Of the 50 hotels we've stayed in the last 6 months it is the BEST!

Except for Parking Outstanding

The parking is a little stiff, $45.00 per day, but everything else was fantastic. The location is outstanding, easy walking to Rush Street clubs and restaurants, and Michigan Avenue Gold Coast shopping. Would stay there again.

Great location

We'd stay again. We were offered an upgrade to a larger, corner room for an additional $25/night and took it. The hotel seemed recently remodeled. Great restaurants across the street or a short walk away. Michigan Ave. was only a few blocks as was the Red Line station to the Sox game and a walk along the Lake's shoreline. We also had a longer walk to Lincoln Park Zoo but it was very pleasant. The accommodations were clean and very comfortable.

Not quite a four star hotel, but close

We expected a better room for the money. Not a true four star hotel, but the location was great. We requested non-down linens twice before we arrived, only to find that they had not changed them out before we got there. Once we called to get the problem fixed, they responded quickly. Overall, we were happy with the hotel and the experience.

good location

We enjoyed our stay. The bathrooms could use an update but were nice enough. Pet friendly. Lots of shopping and restaurants in area. We had an awesome corner room with great views of the city.

Outstanding...Except...

Had a great time. Beautiful hotel, great location, friendly staff. Only complaint is that our room wasn't ready at check-in time. We weren't able to get into our room till 90 minutes later. Otherwise, completely satisfied.

Great Location

Most impressive staff. Extremely friendly personable and helpful. The location is outstanding. Walkable to any of the bars, restaurants and mag mile.

Better spent elsewhere

Nice lobby, but the rooms themselves missing a lot of things you would expect in a hotel like this. TV was old, shower leaked water all over the floor, could hear people in rooms around us. I'll look for someplace else my next visit.
