Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 23great value
Most other hotels at this price in Chicago are rather seedy. This hotel offers clean rooms, conveniently located. Great place just to crash; however do not plan a romantic night in here. Perfect if you're going out most of the night and just need a clean bed and clean bathroom.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 23fine hotel in good location
Good location, safe area, great food next door and convenient location to downtown. No parking lot but managed to find parking on the street. Room sparse and minimal but fine, especially if you just need somewhere to crash. Very minimal amenities provided but again there was nothing that was really missing either.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 23Great for young people who want to be close to downtown
This hotel was absolutely fine. It met all basic requirements for people who don't want to spend a lot but want to be close to downtown. Although the staff was difficult to understand, they were extremely helpful. When we asked about parking, the man at the front desk told us we could take his spot on the street (free parking right in front of the door) when he ended his shift in 20 minutes. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place to go. If you don't plan on spending too much time in the hotel and want a convenient location, I recommend this place.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 23Good room for the money and access to downtown Chicago
The out of service elevators (under repair) was the biggest problem for the hotel. In addition, each room had air conditioning, but the units were mounted on walls above the bed and circulation pointed directly at the beds. However, the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful in trying to accomodate us.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 23Great suites, great location
I got a suite and was very happy to find it was actually two separate rooms that shared a bathroom. This hotel is literally 3 minutes walk away from the Red line. Hopping the train to get to visit friends or go downtown was a cinch. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Chicago and need a safe but inexpensive hotel. However, the one star rating is appropriate because remodeling could be done but it is very clean.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 23Good for the money
The lounge had internet PC for us to use, Also has free coffee, hot water and tea. A small kitchen with refrigerator, ice maker, microwaver cooker, and sink. The bath room have all new plumbing; the bed room is very small but had a good bed. To save money on food, lot of restaurents and bakerys in the neighborhood to buy and eat in the big lounge.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 23Quiet, clean, and affordable.
My boyfriend and I decided to stay at the hotel because it was located very close to transportation to get to downtown. It was also in our budget. We are both recent college graduates and are in debt, but this hotel was perfect! The room we stayed in was clean, and the hotel workers were very friendly. The only downfall was the view we had from our room. It was right in eye shot of an alley. Other than that I would recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 23Great room for the money
The room was small, but the rates are much lower than other hotels. The hotel was clean and the basics were provided. The red line is one block away and takes you into the city for a very small fee. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep while you enjoy the city, this is the hotel for you. I would definitely stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 23Charming Chinatown Surprise!
My friend and I were looking for something cheap and close to downtown Chicago, this place was perfect. It is just a block from the metro stop that goes straight to the loop. We are accustomed to using hostels for travel throughout Europe so our expectations may be low, but for the college-aged traveler this is a great find. Be sure to eat at the Phoenix restaurant around the block, it is the best Chinese food I've ever had! (one word of advice, watch out for people asking for money when you get off the metro)

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 23Well worth it to stay somewhere else
The hotel was very dirty and the staff was not helpful. Our check in was 3pm, they sent us up to our rooms and they were both dirty. The wanted us to leave our stuff in the room and go "walk around"-we had evening plans and needed our rooms. After a long discussion with the desk staff and then the manager, we were given different rooms with smaller beds for the same price. Rooms were very small & dirty.
