While a decent price, you definitelty get (or don't get) what you pay for. It looks a lot better on their website than it actually is! Parking is located a block away, across the street. Our room had exposed PVC pipe, held up with clamps, above the beds near the ceilings. When we arrived, there was no soap in room. Had to go pick some up at desk as there was no housekeeping staff on duty. Light in bathroom went out during shower in morning. While maintenance did come fix it while we were out, they left the light hanging sideways and left dust and debris all over bathroom sink. Bedding blanket had a big hole in it. Fingerprints all over balcony glass door. And last but not least, PEANUTS were in various places all over the floor (behind door, under dressers, under sink in bathroom). Finally told housekeeping lady to clean them specifically, and it was done the second day. We stayed in mid-October 2009. When we came back to our room after a wedding the 2nd night, room doors on either side of ours were OPEN! They were obviously doing repairs during the day and just left the doors standing open at night. Definitely NOT a good hotel choice, but I guess you get what you pay for!

Great location and view, a bit dingy.

The ocean view from my 5th floor room was great, but there were a few things about the room itself that were not as nice. The wallpaper seemed to be peeling away in some places. There were some mold stains in the shower, and some of the caulking was peeling away. The carpet seemed fairly clean, but was stained. One of the elevators was being tiled, but the other was carpeted and smelled like mustard. Overall, an OK place to stay if you know what you're getting into and don't pay too much. The ocean view and convenient beachfront location are great.

Needs alot of Improvement

This Hotel was extremely dirty both inside the room and out would not consider even going back to Virgina Beach the whole area was dirty

Ok...the hotel smelled like mildew...the windows are the kind that don't close and the rain gets in the carpet. It was not nice. It took us 10 mins to get the door open and when we did...we turned around and left. Don't go here! It's cheap but we payed $8 more and stayed across the street in a clean hotel room.

Very Worn Down

Cons: Very worn down hotel. Elevator carpet needs replaced. Hallway had a leak, smelled like mildew, and had wet carpet. Under the sink in the bathroom, there must have been a leak because the pipe was taped instead of being replaced/repaired. For the same price, I could have stayed at any other hotel at the beach. Was not impressed and will not return to this hotel. Pros: Nice staff and location

great room for the money

My family had a great time. The staff kept things in order. i had no problems with them very helpful. Pool was kept very clen. We would stay again. Great for the money

Needs Major, Major Improvement

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. We asked for a non-smoking room, we even called to insure it was non-smoking but when we went to the room it reeked like smoke. There were cigarette ashes and butts in the bedroom, bathroom floor and all over the balcony. The trash had not been emptied (the trash contained cigarette butts that had been put out in beer/alcohol). There was no toliet paper. The rugs were wet, squishy to walk on presumably from being washed. A staff member bregrudginly gave us another room but only after a managers insistance. This one was cleaner but smelled horrible. The staff wasn't helpful or knowledgable about the area, they were unable to even provide a location for coffee. Overall, I was very disappointed and would not recommend to others.

Great room for the price

Very nice room for the great price we paid for ocean view. Room clean and view was great. Stayed twice once on the way to Floridia and then on the way back.

A great value--close to restaurants, area attractions & of course, the beach!

Wedding Weekend

Trust me when I say, its not like the pictures. The carpets were nasty, the room doors were hard to secure and the parking lot for the hotel is across the street and around the corner. The only thing I have to say about this hotel is that the staff were nice and pleasent. If I had not paid for this hotel in advance I would not have even bothering checking in.

Not satisfactory for any cost

* It has off site parking, around the corner and down the block. * The beds were terrible, they should have been replaced years ago. * The room was not cleaned throuhly, dirt under the beds. * The tile in the shower was painted over ! * There were cigerette burns on the counter in the bathroom. * The rugs were worn and need replacing. * The continental breakfast was non-existant. No milk or cream ( powered creamer), stale donut holes and cookies. Basically black coffee. * The staff was polite and tried to be helpfull, but they had nothing to work with. * I will never stay here again and do not recommend it to anybody at any price.

Needs A Bit Of Work

For the money, the rooms were clean and comfortable, big beds, fridge, micro-wave, and a coffee pot.When I arrived I was greeted very nicely, my reservation was there, and the staff seemed very friendly and helpful.I was able to select what floor Iwanted, selected the top floor which was the 8th, great view of the Atlanic Ocean From my private balcony.Roof leaked on one bed, had to be moved to 7th floor,they could have offered me a partial refund or something, but not even a sorry, just moved me.no breakfast either morning of any kind, though there was some coffee, But for the money, what can you expect?
