Hyatt Place Phoenix -North

Amazing Hotel at a low rate

We stayed at the Hyatt North Place and it was wonderful. The location was on a little side street so you have to know where you are going in order to find the place. Make sure you check out a map before going. The hotel was extremely nice for the price we paid. I would have expected to pay almost twice as much for the quality. Breakfast was really good. There was an assortment of various fruit, a few different varieties of cereal and bread (bagels, English muffins, toast). There was also milk, orange juice or apple juice and Starbucks coffee. Some might say it's a simple breakfast but I found it really nice. The room was excellent. There was plenty of space. There was a desk, a small kitchenette area, and a living room area. The large flat screen TV swiveled so you could watch it from the living room area or the bedroom area or both. There's a lot of restaurants and activities within a 5 minute drive of the hotel but almost nothing is within walking distance. The immediate area is nice but it's surrounded by a less than desirable area. My only complaint would be that the pool was cold. This was odd because it was over 100 degrees outside (it is in Phoenix after all) but the pool was still too cool to get in comfortably. Not sure if they recently refilled it but my wife and I couldn't get in. Overall, I thought it was great and would stay again without hesitation.

Great room for price

The hotel looks like it would be more expensive than what the room price shows. Great decor in the rooms as well as being quiet and clean. Can't go wrong with complimentary breakfast but if I want to get picky, I would suggest a waffle-maker to the breakfast room. The only issue I had was the faucet in the room did not have the end piece on and was getting water all over the counter. That was the least of my worries as the rest of the room, including fridge and separate sink, made up for any minor deficiency. I would definitely stay again!

Positives: Excellently laid out room/suite. Easily worth the off-season rate we paid. Clean and well-maintained. Room quiet (could be a result of low occupancy and our romm being on back side of highway). Walking distance to Papadeaux restaurant. Easy access to Interstate. Negatives: Breakfast a bit pedestrian. The not-yet-ripe fruit was waiting for us daily. Plumbing a bit of an issue. Prepare for multiple-flushes and standing in ankle-deep water while showering. The area (MetroCenter) past it's prime. If you plan on shopping, know that "Leasing Opportunity" is the name of a good third of the stores.

Just 1 thing

The only thing I did not like was that our bed sheets did not get changed the whole time on our 4 night stay.. other than that everything else was good. Roomservice would be have been nicer as well!

hotel rooms very nice

we really liked the hotel room layout. lots of room inside...as we had three adults and a 17 yr old. the fold out couch work out great. only down side was that the pool wasnt heated and had no hot tub. overall was a great stay.

Loved it

I was very happy with my stay at the hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed have the room seperator between the bed and living room. Location was great for easy access to the freeways. Jusy a few blocks from a theme park where the kids had fun for a great price. Will book there again everytime we go to Phoenix.

A great hotel for the pheonix area.

The standard hotel rooms were great! It was comfortable and spacious. Compared to the other hotels in the area, this was the best that I have stayed at. Price is less than the more expensive hotels. Dont complain about the towels not being replaced unless you ask them to...this hotel is trying to be earth friendly..which is also what makes this hotel great!
