Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 66Very Modern Contemporary!
Beautiful hotel and rooms... one of the nicest I've stayed at! Not far from Gaslamp for nightlife but has 2 nightclubs of its own at the hotel, which is the reason I stayed there. Ironically enough, I didn't go to either one... 1. because the rumor that they put hotel guests ahead of others at the nightclubs is a joke; and 2. because the doorguy was very disrespectful and drunk and wouldn't let us in for no reason besides the fact I didn't want to buy a table and bottle at 12:45am! Was really irritated and when I told the conceirge lady at the hotel, she just shrugged her shoulders which really irritated me! So don't stay there thinking you will get any better treatment at the clubs. Also, it stays loud until 2-2:30am on the weekend, so don't plan on sleeping early!

There was broken glass on the floor of the room when we came in and even after house keeping came there were pieces of glass on the floor. Pool bar drinks were kind of expensive. Aside from that it was a good stay.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 7 of 66Great hotel with Rude guests!
The hotel was wonderful! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves more than we could have imagined! The only downfall was the hotel guests next to our room in another suite had a party that lasted till 4am. Wouldn't mind other than the fact they stood in front of our door screaming and yelling, while running up and down the hallway! As soon as I notified the hotel staff, security was there within 5 minutes. Only problem was they didn't shut them down, they continued with the loud party! Other than that, we had such a great time, we stayed another night! (The rude guests had checked out!)

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 66Staff needs attitude adjustment
The hotel was in the perfect location, had nicely designed, clean rooms, but the hotel staff was often rude and condescending. Also, there was an event going on at the time of our stay that prevented us from visiting the pool or bar area.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 66Needs to work on a few things
The hotel is one of the most fun hotels i've ever stayed in. On the weekends it's one big party scene. The Sunday Float Intervention pool party is great. Sitting around the Float firepits on couches with a nice drink at night looking out at San Diego is very cool.Having said those good things there is some room for inprovement on little things in the rooms. Have you ever stayed at a hotel and there is no soap dish by the sink or in the shower, where do you keep it? The closets are a cabinet with a rod so low even a shirt hits bottom and folds up. The desk tells you to hang your stuff in the shower on the rod. This is not what you want to hear at a 4 star priced hotel.Make sure you have enough of a credit line on your credit card for the holds they put on for room charges. They hold $250.per day every day even if you don't use a room charge besides the price of the room.So if your there 3 days they put a hold on $750. and the price of your room. They also charge $32. per day for valet parking.A lot of fun but bring bring lot's of money!

The hard rock was great, lots of surrounding with places to eat and hang out...parking is a little pricey but if you don't plan on driving anywhere just use the garage.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 66good location
We were pleased with the location and the staff was very helpful except for the housekeeping staff. They never came to the room after numerous requests and we were actually late for an appointment due to their negligence.

Great Hotel, great service. Outstanding pool bar area. Only drawback is being right next to a train crossing... Blaring train whistle at 3am.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 66AWESOME!
All I have to say is that this hotel ROCKS! My boyfriend and I got GREAT customer service from the staff and would definitely go back again! I got the king suite and thought it was totally worth it! Everything in the room was contemperary and modern which I love! The best part is that you're so close to all the bars and water. Definitely do recommend this hotel!
