Hard Rock Keeps Its Cool

In keeping with the tradition first established in Vegas, the Hard Rock Hotel maintains its status as a cool place to stay. Lobby bar and poolside bar on the balcony always end up as the happening post-party venues. Rooms are smartly designed and equipped. Comfy beds - great showers! Across the street from the SD convention center, one block from Petco Park and at the front door to the Gaslamp, the location can't be beat.

Great room; great location for conference center events. Rowdy guests.

I stayed during at the Hard Rock Hotel while attending a conference held at the convention center across the street. The location was extremely convenient, and the hotel room was modern, yet comfortable. Some of my fellow conference attendees staying at the hotel across the street complained about the noise from our hotel at night, but I found the rooms to shield out the noise while I was sleeping (though while awake, I did hear an occasionally "Woooooo!" out in the hallway. Overall, a fun, comfortable, and competitively priced stay.

Hard Rock - Really Rocks

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. It has a fantastic vibe and I felt a bit like a rockstar. The ammenities, room decor, etc. were just spot on in making you feel that way. With that said, you should know before booking there that this hotel has some of the best parties in town. And party attendees are totally partying it up like rockstars. The hotel has a party on Sunday afternoon called Rehab. It's an afternoon party that goes into the evening. A lot people who attend the party also stay at the hotel and party in their rooms late into the night. On that Sunday night I was awakened a few times (2:30 AM) by others rockin' it like rockstars. It's a young crowd who may not pay the best attention to the fact that people need to get some sleep. I will say the hotel did do a great job of taking care of the noise issues in a timely manner when made aware of it. Because I liked everything else the hotel had to offer, I would consider going back - while knowing there is a high chance of rockstart partying on Sundays.

Great service was provided throughout the hotel, from the check-in desk to the pool bar to the Cafe to the check-out desk. Topnotch hotel.

Perfect for the younger crowd

The Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, like its sister in Las Vegas, is a very hip and trendy spot. I was there on a Friday and Saturday night and the whole hotel seemed to be a party. Ten years ago, this would have appealed to me very much and I would've been living it up! Of course, I probably wouldn't have made it to work in the morning either. This was something of a nuisance as there were crowds of people in the lobby at night trying to get into the various clubs. Also, my room was on the third floor which has a poolside club also. This made it fairly noisy. Luckily, I was very tired and managed to fall alseep anyway. The room itself was very nice, although a bit on the small side. The location is great, being near the Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park, the Convention Center, and many more of San Diego's attractions.

A thriving party atmosphere

Lots of noise could be heard from the downstairs nightclub during the weekend nights...however this improved on the weekday nights
