Wonderful place to stay

Great location....easy walk to 5th Avenue, Broadway plays, Central Park, etc....very friendly and courteous staff. Would like to have had coffee maker in the room, but everything else was exceptional.

The Royal Treatment

My daughter and I loved the royal treatment you recieve. Everything was the finest quality and the rooms are beautifully appointed. We used the gym and spa everyday. The location is the best in town with easy access to the whole city. I hope to go back again.

The Palace is the best 4 start hotel in NY. The people are great, the rooms quite nice, and the lobby quintessential new york.

Loved the Palace

The Palace Hotel is first rate. Beautiful and comfortable room that was large by New York standards. Lovely outdoor courtyard garden that I wish I would have had more time to stay in.

Gilt Lounge Staff

The staff in the Gilt Lounge was incredible. They went above and beyond to provide us with great service, pleasant conversation and helpful local tips.

Luxury Hotel with Poor Service

The Palace is of course a beautiful hotel. The renovation was very nice, room was very comfortable. However, the customer service was mediocre. When we called the concierge to place a dinner reservation, they had forgot about it. A mistake not to be made at a 4.5 star hotel. Furthermore, the staff that pick up phones speak poor English, thus customers spend longer time to explain simple things. If the New York Palace had better customer service, I would definitely recommend it to others. However, my experience with several of the staff there was poor. Therefore, the overall value for the price I paid was diminished.

Good "Bang for the Buck"

A quality environment. Service good & not "stuffy" but not always that friendly either. Very comfortable bed & great flat screen HDTV. Good value & location. Will stay here again when in NYC.

Marvelous Mother's Day

I brought my mother to NYC over Mother's day weekend. The Palace Hotel was wonderful. We had access to the Club level which was excellent. It is comfortable with great snacks, a full breakfast, and cocktails in the evenings. The gym is well equipped with views of St. Patrick's cathedral. On Mother's Day all staff members were very friendly and made my mother feel special. The hotel is only two short blocks to the 6 subway and close to 5th Ave for great shopping. I will definitely stay here again. Our room was just right for the price and the staff are just outstanding.

Needs improvement

Needs improvement in 1. Noise control. We stayed on 11th Floor, but still heard street noise. 2. Bedding is not comfortable 3. Bathroom out of date
