Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 16An Oasis in the Desert
My first room has a small problem in the bathroom. In response, I was transferred into a magnificent villa suite for no additional charge. The staff was incredibly cordial, knowledgable, and accomodating to every need. The property is massive but a friendly "lift" in a golf cart was always moments away. Don't forget to ask about the Mocha and Mango Creamice (Pronounced Creameese)drinks. They are delicious!! Oh and I heard the golf course was awesome (I am not a golfer).

This hotel just feels a bit shabby, maybe in the spring it comes to life, but the restaurant and bar were dark and uninviting and although some areas were nicely landscaped the miles of concrete without sufficient greenery gave most of the hotel a very utilitarian feel. The shut down water park on the premises with expansive concrete decks and abandoned lounge chairs did not enhance the effect.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 16You'll just melt into the beds!
living in AZ, we know how pricey this hotel is during the high tourist season - winter. we were lucky to get a room through Hotels.com at a very great rate. the staff was absolutely splendid. very courteous and very customer oriented. the room's design is very pleasing and very comfortable. you will literally just melt into the bed it is so comfortable! i've stayed in other hotels with larger rooms for less money though. i don't think i'd stay there again without the Hotels.com discount. There were two items that dissapointed me. the first was, this is a suite, in essence, two rooms. the only restrooms door was in the master room. and if you are laying on one of the beds your view can be whomever is sitting on the toilet. very inconvenient too if someone has to use the toilet at night and they are sleeping in the other room on the pull out couch. the other dissapointment was that the maid had completely missed the wet bar in her daily cleaning. there was water in the ice bucket from melted ice and coffee and water stains all over the counter. i was very uncomfortable using the coffee cups... i made sure to wash them before i did. i could have complained to the staff, but as i was attending a function at the hotel, i did not have time to deal with this. we were only there one night. overall, very nice place. would recommend, but only with the discount.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 16Extra Fees
make sure you note the resort fee...it's mandatory and in addition to your hotel charges...$28 extra(fee plus taxes). I didn't notice it when I signed up for this hotel. It covers a nice waterpark entry fee, but I was in Phoenix on business and it was just an extra cost I didn't plan on!

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 16A little pricey
No vending for convenience, only a $6 bottle of water in the hotel fridge. not a very good view. We did not like the look/feel of a motel with outdoor entrance.
