Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 31Nice room, near lots of amenities
This hotel had very nice guest rooms with comfortable beds. They could be more sustainable by not replacing the toiletries every day when I was clearly not done using the ones from the day before. My only complaint is about the television. The screen was huge considering how close you sat to it, and it was set to fill the widescreen mode, which just stretched the image 20% or so, which looks horrible. Also, the picture quality wasn't that great, so once you factor in the grainy image plus the stretching, it wasn't great to look at. Finally, they don't provide a list of channels next to the tv, so I had to flip around a lot to find what I was looking for.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 31Great Value
The hotel was a great value for San Diego and very close to Downtown and Gaslamp. I'd stay there again if I can get a similar rate.

the workout facility is not very nice at all. Needs a little work. Not up to Hilton standards in the least. Pool could use some upgrades too. Overall hotel was fine. Room was nice. Pretty quiet stay and it was busy.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 31Hotel Room
The hotel was over booked and did not reserve the rooms we had booked. We booked two rooms with a king bed and got one room with a double and one room with two singles.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 31No air conditioning
Hotel's HVAC system was not working and they did not know when they would get it fixed. I waited 3 hours before I checked out. Staff did not even tells us when we checked in that the HVAC system was not working.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 31Hotel was ok, I will shop around next time.
Overall it was satisfactory. They didn't have a free continental breakfast, or at least wasn't informed of one upon checking in or in the hotel reference book in the room. They don't have free WiFi in the rooms which I find ridiculous as a business traveler. My drinking glasses in the room appeared to have been washed in the the room as there was towel dust on them and one of them looked like it had a cigarette put out in it and the ashes were still stuck to the bottom. I will shop around next time.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 31Report on the Hilton
The web site listed breakfast, yet did not say customer needed to pay for it. There were no glasses in the bathroom, nor a coffee maker which seems to be a standard in most places.

Conveniently located, and near restaurants and shopping!

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 31Not worth it at all, completely dissatisfied
Staff unhelpful. Have to pay for parking. I reserved for a King bed, but according to Hilton, I only paid for "a room" and they will try to meet my request for a king bed. I ended up with a pull down (murphy bed) queen! Extremely disappointed. Regretted staying here when I could have stayed at a Sheraton nearby.

I was not impressed with this hotel. My room was noisy (a salsa class went til after 12:30am on Thurs night when I arrived) and I could not sleep. Several times the room smelled smoke-filled from either a neighbor who was smoking in their room (which is not allowed) or from outside the lobby which came into the room. The only thing that was great was the food from room service and the hotel rest. For the amount of money this hotel cost per night I expected a lot more comfort. I would not return.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 31OK, but maintenence issues
A friend and I had two rooms in this hotel for a 5-day training at a nearby hotel. The bedding was nice, the amenities were decent, and housekeeping did a great job. My room had two refers, neither one could keep a soda cold. My friends phone didn't work in one room and in another room the door kept sticking. The area is pricey, so the rooms are also. The food prices are high in the hotel (over $10 in the cafe for a bagel and basic coffee), but there is a Denny's fairly close by.
