Very Dissapointed

I read all the reviews prior to choosing to stay here. Despite some of the warnings from other guests i took the chance and booked my honeymoon stay here. The hotel location is beautiful and the hotel itself is a very nice hotel. There is still alot of construction going on...in fact the front entrance isn't even finished so we had to enter the lobby by going into the parking garage and taking a back way. The parking garage was narrow so it wasn't easy to turn around once you went down to the end where the entrance to the lobby was. With multiple people checking in, it was very irritating trying to get to the lobby at all. Ok, next up i check in. I state to the guy checking me in "this is my honeymoon, please put me in a Quiet room". He says he will try but no guarantees. I don't think he even considered my request. Ok so we get to our room. Beautiful room, very cozy, very comfortable. This is the one thing that was done right. 6am the next morning we are woke up to the sounds of kids screaming and running around and parents yelling at their kids. Honestly it sounded like they were in the same room with us. I couldn't believe how thin the walls were. This goes on for an hour till we can't tolerate it anymore and we call the front desk. We suggested either a discount in our room considering how much we paid for a quiet room or moving us to another room. The answer was that they would not discount our room and they couldn't move us. They seriously acted like they could care less. So i told them we would never be staying at their resort again and we would be sure to let everyone know about our experience. Last day we were at the hotel. It was 8am and we get a knock on our door. I go open the door and it is the maid wanting to clean our room. I ask her when we are expected to check out and she says now. I call the front desk and ask what time check out is and they tell me 10am. So i tell them they need to let their maid know so they don't disturb their guests. So our sl

The mystery sound...

Upon arriving at the hotel we had to use the garage entrance to access the lobby because they had torn up the drive way in front. This did not bother me it would have been more inconvenient it there had been more people checking in. The desk was very accommodating. We had arrived about 45 min. before check in time at 4:00 PM. After we received our key we got vague instructions to our room we gave ourselves a free tour of the hotel while attempting to find our room. After we found our room everything was fine. there were only two things that were a bit of an issue, Parking was a bit of a problem and the mystery sounds that we could hear from our room. On our final night at about 11:30 or Midnight there was a rather annoying humming noise that lasted for about 45 Minutes that kept me awake. The other sound was a rather large "Thump" noise that we would hear every time we turned a faucet off. Other than that the stay was great. We spent time on Main Street and more time in the Uintah Mountains to the east.

Outstanding Hotel

Excellent security features. Nice features for teens (game room, pool, ping pong tables). Good location. We loved it.

GREAT ROOM FOR THE PRICE.

WE HAD A NICE STAY, IT WAS A NICE HOTEL AND HAD A GREAT POOL AREA. THE ROOMS WERE NICE, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE WE PAID. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS ANNOYING WAS ON THE FIRST NIGHT WE COULD HEAR THE PEOPLE NEXT DOOR TO US. MAYBE THE WALLS ARE A LITTLE THIN, BUT MOST LIKELY IT WAS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T CARE IF OTHERS HEARD THEM, IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN. OTHER THAN THEN THAT WE HAD A VERY NICE STAY.

Great Place to Stay

The Westgate was a great place to stay. If oyu are looking at staying only one night though I would suggest otherwise. There was not enough time for us to see the entire hotel with just staying one night. Also suggest staying durring the week. Lots of people and kids at the pool on the weekend.

Anniversary weekend

Loved the hotel. The jetted tub was nice and the bedding was so comfy. loved the service at the front desk. I would stay there again.

gorgeous local, wonderful ammenities, just watch for off-season early closings

What a beautiful place tucked into the mountains. The hotel it's self is beautifly kept and very clean. It seems very new, even thouh there are repairs going on it is no where near the rooms and does not interfere in any way. So much to do with the spa and the pool area with a spa and steam room. Our only regret is that the posted times of the Papillion Spa was closed an hour before due to off season hours. it closes at 7pm. which is way too early if you only get to check in at 4pm. Just be aware that in the off season the places to eat are closed very early and so does the spa. Other than that, we loved it!

AWESOME DEAL

We stayed here for our anniversary. I found a great rate on this hotel because it was the off-season. After booking, I was a little worried because of some of the bad reviews I had read, but I think most of those came from people who wanted something for nothing (a free stay if you listen to the timeshare pitch). However, I was pleasantly surprised to find our room was cozy and nice. It was a little small but perfect for just a single couple. It was built with high quality finish materials and had 2 tvs. We were actually able to watch a movie from the bathtub! The only complaint I have is that the door to connect rooms wasn't very soundproof and you could hear the kids next door once in a while. Overall a very enjoyable experience. We got a nice luxury room for an economy price and we would love to return next year if we can get a similar rate.

Good Value

This is a winter destination, so many of the area businesses were either closed or had summer hours. The hotel is still under construction, so some noise. We were in a lock-off room with no balcony. For what we paid, it was a good value.

Family Get-Away

We enjoy the Park City 4th of July Parade and decided on a whim to go up the day before. We nervously picked the WestGate based on user feedback. We were pleasantly surprised with the room. Although on the small-ish side, we didn't expect a suit for the price. Room had a full kitchen, sleeper-sofa for the kids, private bedroom, and separate tvs. Kids loved the big pool which at the deepest is 3'6. We were surprised that the Canyons have their fireworks display on the 3rd, right in front of the resort. There was live music and food vendors in the Canyons Plaza behind the Resort. Despite the ambient noise our room was quiet. Staff was great. Very helpful and accommodating. Thanks for a great weekend.

Incredible Place to Getaway!!!!

My husband and I recently visited for a quick getaway. Our room was incredible, much more than we expected for the very cheap price we paid! The room was on the smaller side but filled with every convienance, quality construction, etc. Our bed was superb, so comfy, extra blankets and towels, even robes waiting for us. The only complaint we would have is that the jetted tub is a little small and that you can hear the room next to you at times! However we loved it so much we had the HARDEST time leaving and are taking our kiddos back at the beginning of July for a little vacation! We can not WAIT to get back and relax for a few more days!
