Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 9Terrible Service
We arrived 90 min after check in time. One of our two rooms was not ready. Two hours after check in time our room was still not ready. We left for the evening and did not get our room until we returned that night at 11pm. We had to wait in line with two sleeping children to get our keys. No one offered to give us another room or discount or even apologized. We only had the rooms for 1 night so missing out on several hours was a big disappointment.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 9Outstanding Hotel but...
Great locations. Near downtown and university. My only complaint was the hotel restaurant. It was very slow. Other than the restaurant it was a great place to stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 9Great Value and Amenities
We stayed a few different places during our trip to Seattle, and Hotel Deca was by far our favorite. Not only were the rooms comfortable and decorated nicely, but there were lots of little "extras" that other hotels don't offer. We appreciated the iPod stereo, the huge and comfortable bed, and the free wireless internet the most.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 9Nice Place To Stay
Great staff - always very helpful and pleasant. Our room was at the end of the hall and very small, but it was very clean and well-maintained. Great lobby! Nice lounge in basement - had a good jazz band while we were there. Hotel had free shuttle service to downtown which was a real plus but there was often a long wait due to its popularity. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who has business in the University District.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 9Great Hotel in a Great Location
Stayed here for a few nights and couldn't complain. The water pressure in the bathroom could have been fixed. The toilet would clog easily and the shower wouldn't convert completely from the bath faucet. I thought it was a waste of water. Overall, the rooms were great. The facilities were well kept and the location was great. Lots of shops within walking distance. I wouldn't suggest the surrounding eateries though. Not too impressive!

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 9Good urban hotel
Hotel Deca was great for our visit to Seattle. It's in the University District which has a very urban flavor. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. My only concern was with the coffee shop downstairs, Peets. It's not the hotel, but it adjoins the lobby. On two visits to Peets, homeless people were happily camped out on the comfy chairs. I don't deny their right to be there, but it was for extended periods. Like I said, it's an urban location, so some things just come with the territory.
