Weekend Stay OK...great for fishers

The hotel was ok. Not the type of hotel I would prefer. But was there for a special event and it was the host hotel. The price was great.

Outstanding Hotel

Our hotel stay was great. The rooms were clean, the pool areas were clean, and the employees were very nice. The rooms had a perfect view of the beach, and the complimentary access to the pier was a plus.

needs some tlc

The toilet would not stop running, which made it hard to sleep. The air conditioner was very dirty and had black patches growing on it. The drawer in the kitchen area was broken. There was feces in the toilet when we first arrived. It has a great location and nice beach, but it was too dirty in the room for me to enjoy my stay. They need to update their rooms and give them a good cleaning

Overall Good Value

As one other reviewer indicated the bed was a bit hard. I stayed in the smaller building outside needed a little work but I have nothing bad to say about the room itself. Very clean, nice view. Actually quiet.

Outstanding hotel and great room for the money

I would recommend the Springmaid beach Hotel resort to anyone. i will definitely return there. The location is perfect: Right on the beach, beautiful view from the balcony, little cafe close to it. the room was very clean, evrything worked and the price was unbeatable.

Clean, Convenient, Poor Customer Service

I loved the convenience of the location. On the South end, easy in and out to Kings Hwy ( resturants and such ). The room was comfortable and clean. We arrived late, the refrigerator in the room was not working, called the front desk first thing following morning - they said maintenance would right up - 3 Hours later they exchange the refrigerator-mainteance apologized for the condition of it, explained it had been in storage and that housekeeping would be in shortly to clean it up -- They never came- and the inside of the doors were rusted -- Didn't look very nice - but did work. They were several very unruly children in the pool / lazy river area. Although it should be the parents responsibility to correct bad behavior --it they don't -- I believe Hotel Security should get involved when it's to the point of All lazy river tubes in pool -- none in the lazy river and 3 young boys have 4 tubes each stacked on their bodies and others would liked to have used the lazy river.

good value

The hotel is away from the action, which is great for privacy and beach access, but frustrating when you'd like to walk to dinner or shopping. Wireless access was weak and only available near the check-in building and the conference center. A couple pools were not open. A lush resort it was not, but the room was really large and spotless, the staff was friendly and I can't say I've ever spent less for an oceanview. Thumbs up for a short stay.

Great hotel

This is really a great hotel. It has fun things to do like fishing and putt putt. The food in the restaurant is good. The only thing that was not so great is the toilet; it is too high. I definitely would go back.

Great Location, good value, hotel ageing

We loved the location as we felt there was more space for kids to play. You need a vehicle as the location of the hotel is futher away from local attractions. The price was very reasonable as the hotel is located right on the ocean. Alone with the value comes the fact that the hotel is little older and is showing it's age.

Great beach

All rooms have views of the ocean. The beach is beautiful and easy to get to. Nice place.

Nice Hotel

Best location in MB area. My wife and I stayed 4 nights, the first 2 were outstanding but the last 2 we couldn't even go on the balcony because of cigarette ashes from occupants above. They were loud and noisy also. We were on the fourth floor so I guess next time we will request the sixth floor. Security should at least request that they be a little quieter and respect other guests, but there are always these kind of people around.

Needs Improvement

I would not recommend this motel to my friends, maybe to my enemy. We went to our room and the door would not open. We had bad luck getting into two different rooms and still had no luck and many calls to the front desk with my cell phone to have some one let us in., If you like waiting for some one to let you in to your room and hours later to finally get into your room this place is for you.

Great room for the money

The room was very good, except the tub would not change from shower to tub. if you wanted to take a bath you were forced to take a shower. The layout of the hotel was really nice and the rooms were well worth the money.
