Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 49Great for couples getaway
The Clarendon is terrific! Super hotel for a couples getaway/friends weekend, etc. (Not really a place for families) Great staff, super decor, comfy modern rooms and amenities. Fabulous pool and rooftop bar. And we got a great deal thru hotels.com! The bathrooms are really small but it's an old hotel. Only 2 negatives - the site said there was a minibar and there wasn't, and the indoor bar and restaurant was closed for remodeling (would have been nice to know that when we made our reservation).

Hotel was very clean, roomy, decor was out of this world! so many interesting and unique things to look at, the pool was one of the highlights of the evening. The room very spacious. The restaurant that is located i the hotel is the best, would highly recommend it to even someone that lives in the area. this place is not to be passed up...

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 49My stay
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I got a king pool side room and it was neat clean and the decor was nice. The only thing that was a little different was that the there was no tv in the living room section. Besides that it was a great stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 49What happened?
I used to love this hotel. This last stay was by far my worst experience. The AC was way too loud and did not let us sleep at night. On top of that, we had it set at 65 and it felt 80 inside the room. Management offered to move me to another room but it felt the same.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 49Consider where your room is
I got a room by the elevator on the 4th floor, and since there is a bar on the roof people always stand and wait for the elevator. From the time I arrived, 10:30pm until just a little after 12am, the people that used the elevator and waited for it made lots of noise laughing and talking. I actually asked one group to quiet down. I came with my girlfriend as a surprise for her. It ended up being a surprise for both of us.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 49Designey!
Very designey, lot's of over the top color and splash! The pool looked like a nightclub. Once they get the restaurant open, it'll probably be a little smoother in the lobby area. I loved the bed - it was enormous, with gorgeous linens, and the shower had awesome water pressure and was tall enough for my 6'5" frame. Overall, I liked the Clarendon a lot. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Weekend rates were so reasonable!

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 49Party place, not cozy
I loved the pool and hot tub area but on the weekend I stayed there was a wedding party so I didn't even get to use the pool area. The hotel room was cold and I couldn't seem to change the temp with the thermostat in the room. I found an electric radiator in the closet that I had to plug in. I liked the hip, modern decorations but it still felt like an old hotel room. The glass on my bedside table was cracked and the makeup removal wipes they recommended to save water were not anywhere to be found. Also, the one-piece shower/tub was ancient and in need of replacing.
