For the price..

For the price, it is hard to beat. The hotel is old and the people are sketchy. Overall though we had no issues.. the view is great and beach access is super easy. Needs major renovations or torn down, though.

Beautiful View for the Money

We ended up going over Memorial Day weekend and still got cheap rates. The weather sucked, but our ocean view balcony helped. We cooked breakfast and dinner using our kitchenette which saved more money. Being right on the beach and listening to the ocean at night was fantastic. Sure, the overall room/hotel quality are poor(it's CHEAP!!), but the front desk/housekeeping staff were friendly.

HOTEL NEEDS TO BE UPDATED

THE OVERALL LOOK OF THE HOTEL EVERYWHERE WAS VERY OUTDATED AND RUNDOWN. IT IS IN NEED OF A MAKEOVER FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. IT WAS VERY DIRTY AND SMELLY EVERYWHERE.

you get what you pay for

We stayed at this motelduring bike week even after reading many bad reviews of it. I figure you get what you pay for; I took my own sheets and towels as well as a can of lysol. The location of the motel was great there was a full size refrigerator, stove top oven and microwave, kitchen supplies were provided as well as dish detergent at the kitchen sink, this was a nice suprise. The gentleman who worked during the day was very nice and helpful (unfortunately the lady who worked in the evenings was not quite as efficient and had a hard time keeping up with demands of the guest). Would I stay here again maybe, but I would once again take my own linens and lysol.

Waste of money and it seems haunted. Didn't even stay the night it was so dirty!

Good for the price, Awesome View, Needs improvement

I knew when I reserved a room at this hotel that the reviews were pretty lackluster. But I was just looking for a decent room with an ocean front view, and this was the place. The hotel is in fact old and not very well kept as a whole, but the rooms are very "homey" with a great view, a full size refrigerator, a stove and large cabinets. Nothing was truly nasty, its just old. They keep the rooms as clean as they can possibly be and the beds are nice.

I am a college student so i don't expect much, but the stairs to the hotel were conjested with old appliances the rail was wrapped in duct tape. there were 5 working channels the room was so outdated i slept on to of the covers on my own blanket then refused to stay there the second night. The lady at the front desk had a nasty attitude and there were 2 other people complaining about her attitude as well. Finally she told all of us to shut up... all i wanted was some towels, from the outside the hotel looked abandoned and the hookers outside probably thought it was too. And my friend somehow got ring worm, she was the only one to sleep on the sheets... I have used hotels.com before two weeks prior to this stay and was pleased, but this time i was truely disgusted... O yeah there was an old crusty couch in our room looked like they found it in the back alley probably next to the hookers, there was mildew and and what not growing on the walls. Hold on i have to puke..ok i'm back.. No one had phone reception too bad i left my rotary dial cell at the house. But the nice neighbor bought me a coke and a smile from the vending machine...

Comfortable and satisfactory

Hotel is a bit worn, but the staff more than make up for it. A quick call in advance to find out the availability of trailer parking would have been smart on my part (went for bike week and needed to find trailer parking). Great location and clean decent place for the price. Not a chain but also not a dive. Some where comfortably in the middle.
