Very inexpensive relative to downtown hotels. About two long blocks from the red line subway, 3 stops from South Station (maybe 6-8 minutes). trains run often, get a $9.00 day pass. they charge for parking ($10), look arouund the hotel for free street parking (we didnt have time). This place is a pain to find, especially at night. That said, worth the effort, bed was comfortable, breakfast is available via an in-hotel au bon pain.

The hotel was not bad, but could have had some type of breakfast for the price. If your the type of person that has never traveled then this is not the place for you. We had no problem using the subway very easy and terminal was right across the street. Bus stop was right in front of hotel.

We stayed 3 nights, no problems at all. Clean and quiet room. Parking behind the building. Short distance to the downtown Boston.

The quality of hotel itself is good.. nice and clean. But, there aren't any restaurants in that area, so you'll have to cab it to downtown for meals.

It's not great, but it's not horrible either. If you're staying in this area, it's about the only choice you have. It has a bar, it has a Au Bon Pain, and it's a decent place to sleep.

Where to start? First of all, no help at front desk, thus long wait to check in. Many times when calling from my room to front desk, they were so understaffed they never answered the front desk phone. My room was dirty. The desk table in the room had one leg almost off and leaning to the side. The phone was broken and could not call out on local or long distance. I requested a replacement phone that never came. When showering, the drain was stopped up, and ended up standing in six inches of water. Requested a repair - it never came. When I asked for a manager to complain, he/she was never there, I was told.

I was using Hotels.com for the first time on my trip to Boston. That was the worst mistake I have done in my life. If you can for your pleasure, do not use double tree in Boston or hotels.com

We had to book a room at the last minute for a convention and this hotel was only about a $10 cab ride away, clean, and reasonably priced. There is nothing close to the hotel, no shops or restaurants. I would only stay here as a last resort.
