Very relaxing and enjoyable

Was very relaxing, not overcrowded. Best in room dining we have ever had. The staff was very helpful and very concerned that our stay was perfect. Would stay there again.

Neat little retreat

My only complaint: $25 'fee' I was hit for upon arriving.

Nice Hotel

The staff was friendly and helpful. One issue is they don't like you doing things yourself, so instead of opening the umbrella, you have to wait 15 minutes for someone to come over to do it for you. I don't like to be over-pampered. Very beautiful hotel and room, great location. The pool was so-so. Just a normal pool, with a max depth of 5ft.

Ruined Honeymoon

I booked a room for my daughter and son in law for their honeymoon here and "What a disaster" it was!!! The room was full of bugs, their wedding cake was ruined,promises made by the hotel staff DID NOT happen and it was truly a very disappointing stay. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This resort is small and intimate. Very nice. Restaurant is very special but is pricey.

great value

Friends stay here all the time and said it was great. We were on an overnight on the way to another destination. Would be way fun in the winter months. Wish they would tone down the air freshener though. The property is old, but it feels more historic than actually "old".It's the southwest after all....Amazing shopping and eating just east of the property within 5 miles.

outstanding hotel

The hotel and the staff were outstanding. Great place for adults to relax and enjoy themselves. Will return in the furture.

Great Hotel

The hotel staff was outstanding - they took very good care of us. The hotel grounds were beautiful. We will stay here again the next time we come back to AZ.

Wonderful ambiance

We selected the Royal Palms based on reviews and TripAdvisor, when we were looking for an upscale resort for a long weekend get-away. We wanted the luxuriousnness of the Phoenician and other large resorts with more intimacy, and were so pleased with our choice. It is a beautiful, magical place with fabulous little hidden spaces all over amidst gorgeous architecture and gardens. The pool and pool deck is small and was quite crowded on the weekend, but the staff did a terrific job of squeezing people in to sun or shade, delivering drinks and a continuous flow of ice water, sprinting around the pool to keep everyone happy. We stayed in a deluxe casita with a private patio - the patio was small and without shade, so we didn't end up using it. Probably not worth the extra money. The bathroom had a large shower with skylight which was wonderful. The room was dark, partly because of it's location, but we weren't in it that much and it's probably a good thing during summer heat. The staff was simply outstanding - extremely friendly, helpful, relaxed. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
