Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 30Needs serious improvement.
The beds were in bad shape. One slanted uphill from the head to the feet. There were only 4 totally flat pillows in our room and the front desk couldn't get us any more. They also had teeny tiny towels...I guess little people usually stay there.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 30Disappointing
Only stayed one night. Was just looking for a comfortable bed - nothing fancy. My mom's room had not been cleaned. Bedding was all over the floor. When we went to bed, we discovered there was no fitted sheet on the bed, so we struggled trying to keep the mattress covered up. TV reception was really bad. Dirty towel in our bathroom.

Directions given by the hotel were inaccurate. The night stand was filthy (covered in something sticky). Night staff was rude and not willing to find an extra pillow. Phone in room not even plugged into the wall. (There wasn't even a cord to plug in) No fitted sheet on matress.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 30The Better Business Bureau needs to look into this Motel
The directions given from the sales rep with Hotel.com were incorrect. I requested to stay between downtown San Antonio and Sea World on I-35 and found the motel far north of San Antonio. After checking in, I called the front desk for some more pillows, because the one's on the bed had absolutely no support. Randy, the night shift desk clerk, said there was nothing he could do about it. There was no House keeping onsite until the morning. Next,I left to walk the poorly lighted property for a soda machine. To my misfortune, all three soda machines did not work, and one even took my money. I had to leave at 12:30am to grab sodas so we could drink something with the food we ordered from a not so close restuarant. The next morning, my family went to take showers only to find there was just two. So, again, I called the front desk requesting for house keeping to bring by a couple more bath towels. At 9:00am, Kathy, the front desk rep. said "There was no house keeping on site, but that I could walk down to the laundry room and get what I needed." As I left my room, I saw not just one cart but two in front of other rooms. When I made my way into the laundry room, I met two ladies. I asked one of them "are you housekeeping?" One responded yes. Furious, I called the front desk and spoke with Kathy to inform her that I ran into housekeeping and that I needed to speak with her manager. Her response was,"there is no manager." I asked "so what happens in cases where you are not equipped to answer or solve a problem?" "She said I am sorry but I am the only one here." My response was, "you hsve not been forthcoming with me already who's to say you are speaking truthfully right now over such a small matter?" I did not give her a chance to respond. I only asked for the night clerk's name. She would not give me his last name or her last name. Nor would she give me the name of a manager or any employee ID to reference with this matter. I thought a shower would make me feel better, but i

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 30Great room for the money
Nice clean room for the price. Rooms have microwave, fridge, coffee maker and hair dryer. Was quiet, we have two children and they were able to play outside the hotel. The pool was clean and the breakfast was real good too. I would stay here again, real bargain for the budget minded.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 30Nice hotel!
I was pretty impressed with the hotel, I wouldn't enjoyed it a bit more if the rooms had some sort of refrigeration, but there wasn't any. Microwave and cooking supplies were in the lobby, which wasn't a big deal. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. It wasn't the greatest hotel in the world, but it was absolutely worth what we paid for it.

The beds were really comfortable, considering other hotels I've been in. The shower was a little moldy. If you are going to the horse track it's only 5 minutes away, which is where we were going and it was perfect! It's pretty far from downtown san antonio, especially with all the construction going on right now.

This "motel" provided the basic basics! The only real issue we had was with the plumbing, which was simply old and worn-out, with slow running showers, sink, and toilet. Fixtures were corroded and old. For the price, we expected something a little better.

theonly thing about this room that we did not like was the beds were both very hard and it would have been nice if it had a microwave.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 30Very Unhappy
They have a unique wake up call service which is apparently no wake up call service at all. I was late to an important engagement because the front desk failed to give me a wake up call. I placed this call, in person, upon check-in. The hotel is also extremely difficult to access from either San Antonio or Austin.

I would not stay here again nor would I recommend anybody staying at this so called Hotel, as the stay here was what I would imagine a stay at a shelter would be like but we had to pay for it and I bet the shelter would be nicer.
