Needs updating

Hotel room was very small and cramped. Would be nice if ice machines were located on all floors as they are not. Room was old and musty and in need of some modern upgrades.

Staff is so friendly

From the shuttle drivers to the front desk, everyone was so courteous, kind and helpful. All were willing to give info about the surrounding area and went out of their way to help us feel welcome.

Great room for the money; Convenient location

Hotel is clean and with personnel who are very responsive. It is convenient to shopping and dining.

This hotel is basically just a step above a chain motel. No huge major flaws, but just little things here and there that were annoying. Like a long black hair in the shower... and beds that you kind of need to be drunk in order to sleep on... and when you dial room service, the line just rings and rings, because - oh - they don't open until 5pm and they're too cheap to get an answering machine that would politely let you know that. Things like that. Not a complete deal breaker since they usually have good rates, but just sort of annoying. So as usual, you get what you pay for.

Alright for what we paid

The hotel itself was nice for what we paid. Definitely liked the location, very close to Sea World and Mission Beach. The walls were a little thin, we could hear our neighbors showering or flushing the toilet; and for some reason, whenever we flushed our toilet, it would keep running for a while. The beds were a little hard and the room was smaller than I expected. Although we didn't spend too much time actually in our hotel, it was an ok place to stay where we pretty much just needed to sleep.

Very comfortable and convenient location

The exterior of the buildings are in need of some cleanup and paint. The room was excellent for the price and the location is great..close to shopping, beaches and public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. The "Tickled Trout" restaurant has good, reasonably priced breakfasts.

Great for what I paid:

Very nice and considerate hotel staff while it is an older hotel it is still well maintained and I don't think anyone can complain about the cost, based on how great the hotel staff was and how well the front building was I think this should probably be rated 3-1/2 ****

Great room for the money

The hotel was a lot nicer than I expected it to be! The room was small but still managed to fit everyone comfortably. Great location as well! It was very close to everything.

Adequate Hotel

The room price was a bit steep considering the lack of amenities. The first thing I noticed was the lack of auto temperature control for the A/C. While the room was clean, it had odd smell to it. (Hopefully there was not any signs of mold within the wallpaper...) Microwave worked well, but the ice box in the fridge did not work. The bed was comfortable enough that I was able to sleep well. Although it would have been nice if some kind of breakfast was available, hotel clerks were very friendly and courteous to our needs. They did a great job providing us food recommendations and directions for transportation, city maps, etc.

Super Staff and Nice room. Very convenient location

Stayed 8 nights and enjoyed them all. Nice little restraunt w/ very good food. Great clean pool and hot tub. Staff was very polite and went out of the way to make us comfortable. Room was clean and comfy. Very easy to get to Zoo,Sea World and the Ocean beaches. (10 minutes or so}

Pool

The pool is pretty small so if you are planning to spend a lot of time there, pick a different hotel.
