Very nice hotel, convenient to Wine Country

This was our second stay at the Fountaingrove and we enjoyed it. Our only disappointment was when we found out they no longer put out coffee and freshly backed cookies in the lobby each afternoon. If you are going to tour the Sonoma Country wineries, this place is a good choice if you don't mind a hotel that's only a short drive from the action.

great location for wine tasting in Sonoma County!

easy access to highway 101 and close proximity to Healdsburg, Russian River, Dry Creek, Alexander Valley, etc. make this hotel and excellent choice for a wine tasting vacation

Excellent hotel in North Santa Rosa

Our stay at the Fountaingrove Inn exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for our Santa Rosa visit. The staff was friendly and efficient, from registration to housekeeping. The restaurant on site is very good. The room was large, in excellent condition, and well appointed. I'd recommend this establishment to everyone. The hotels.com price was frosting on the cake.

Cosmetically pretty

The first thing that we noticed when we walked into the lobby was that the place looked beautiful and were all very excited to check out our rooms. Our rooms were located in a separate building and as soon as we walked in, we were overwhelmed with the fishy/sewer smell. Luckily as we went upstairs the smell dissipated but walking through that smell each time we entered or excited the building was nauseating. The beds were comfortable but the couch had some dirt and a rubberband sitting on it. We noticed the duvet cover had some greyish black stain on it. The best part of the stay was the hotel's restaurant Equus. They had delicious food and great service. I definitely recommend the French Toast. It will be unlike anything you've ever eaten before.

Fantastic Wine Country Value!

Now I understand why this is a highly rated hotel for the Sonoma area. I was completely impressed the very moment I entered the hotel lobby. This place is clean, stylish, comfortable and a total pleasure to stay at! This is the way it should always be. You pay your money and feel that you really got more than your money's worth. They also have a very nice restaurant (Equus) that serves a very nice breakfast. I did not go there for either lunch or dinner so I cannot comment on those options. Man, I DEFINITELY want to come back to this place. What a wonderfully relaxing destination. I can't recommend it highly enough.
