No shuttle pick up at airport

I was under the impression that the hotel had a shuttle, which they did, but it didn't pick you up at the airport. I had to pay,a ridiculous amount, for a shuttle to take me to the hotel. I would suggest staying closer to the beachs, inner harbor, or other major attractions so you save money on cab fares and shuttle rides.

Great Location

Thsi hotel is perfect for vacations. It isn't expensive and it is near everything you would want to see.

Swamp Cooler

We were there for just one night. They let us check in early at NO extra fee, the service was very nice. We walked into the hotel room and it was overall a nice room. Exactly what we expected for the price. However, we layed down to take a nap before partying the night away, and could the area between the door (to the outside) and the floor was so large, we could hear the maintenance guy sweeping (which lasted about an hour). We could also hear everyone that was outside their hotel rooms. Also, our swamp cooler leaked a constant stream of water. I've stayed there before, and had NO problems, with even the door. And that's why I would STILL give them another chance and stay there again.

Not Good

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The carpet in the room was stained and filthy. My husband and I slept with our clothes on on top on the comforter. We didn't eat there because the guest room were dirty so we were sure the restaurant would be disgusting. I would never stay there again.

Don't give me excuesses

The room was nice and if I had made a reservation for a room with two double beds I probably would have liked it but I had made my reservation two months in advance for a king for my boyfriend and I but when we checked in we received two doubles. I was completely irritated with this especially when I called to ask why I didn't have a king and the women at the front desk very rudely stated "oh well we don't have any non-smoking kings what do you want me to do about it?" They could only offer a Smoking king and not for another 2 hours(I just quit smoking) Are you people kidding me! It's 3:15 check in time and if you didn't have a king size bed for me you shouldn't have checked me in. If you make a reservation it should be properly carried out especially when the room is paid for in ADVANCE!!! hello that's why we plan ahead. My boyfriend and I couldn't even fit in one bed together we might as well have been sleeping in a twin! Rude costumer service but hotels.com gave me a 50 dollar rebate however I'm considering calling and getting one night free because it really did ruin my trip to San Diego. Just don't back down if they try and mess with you.

Great room for the money

This was a clean facility, easy drive to downtown San Diego. The pool could have used a little improvment and the last day we were there the shower was a little cold but other than that, I was impressed. The rooms were very nice but the pillows were uncomfortable. The staff at the front desk was very helpful with directions.

Would not stay here again

Myself and my wife visited this hotel for a weekend trip... The hotel service was decent, but my wife didn't feel safe at all. The quality of people that stayed there was very poor. She was actually scared to go outside in the evening. Then there was the heater in the room! Every time it turned on and off during the night it made a rattling noice for about 2 minutes! It was horrible! But ya know- the room was pretty cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for! All I know is that I'm not stayin there again!

You get what you pay for

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have free breakfast which consists of eggs, pancakes, danish, bagels, juice, coffee. They offer free shuttle service to/ from Sea World daily. The suite was simple, just two rooms - the living room and the bedroom. You could here sounds from the neighbors but it wasn't too loud or annoying. I think that for the price we paid, the hotel was worth it. It came with a small refrigerator and microwave also. If you are looking for extravagance, don't stay here but if you are looking for a place to sleep and be comfortable, this is a great stop.

Needs improvement

This place is old and very congested. The room was spacious and we were able to get some sleep. The one pool and spa are too small for the two buildings and large amount of guests. Waiting in line for the complimentary breakfast took soo long that we opted out the second day. This place is not up to the usual standards of a Days Inn because of it's age and guest congestion.
