Good for our purposes

We thought the hotel was fine despite the negative reviews. We stayed in one of their updated rooms with a king sized bed. I used to live in SD and this neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, and I could see how people would feel misled about the "sea world" in the title of the hotel, but for us it was great!

great for the money

over all good hotel, did not have coffee pot in one of the two rooms we rented called front desk they said they would send one up never arrived over all clean affordable rooms great breakfast no heated pool close to attractions , to close to topless bars and adult attractions husband kept wandering off ha ha !!!

trouble with airconditioning

The airconditing wasn't working and had to call maintenance twice. Entered room and it was 84 degrees. The price was right however and the breakfast was free and pretty good.

Great Get Away Place

My husabnd and I were still on our honeymoon and we came down to San Diego to go to Sea World and we had a nice time there and our room was right by Sea World. The breakfast at the hotel was good and the staff was very friendly and professional.

Air Condition

I had trouble with the air condition at 11pm. Also, the pool was dirty and the receptionist never send me the crib for my baby. The only good thing was the breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel.

A pleasant surprise- especially for the price!

For the price & location I was expecting a pretty average motel expereince. I discovered I would be arriving late, called the motel and got quick & friendly service. The desk person remembered me & my call when I checked in. Nice. The room was a delightful surprise- very clean and tastefully decorated. It appeared that the room had been renovated within the past year or so- very comfortable bed, stylish and comfortable chair & footrest- so comfortable I fell asleep watching tv. Hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise as well.

dirty, needs maintanance

I have never stayed in such a disgusting room. The furniture is stained and torn. The bedding was stained, the walls were dirty. The microwave and fridge were not clean. I asked to switch rooms because it was so bad. The new room was cleaner but very worn. I asked for extra linens to place over the couch, chairs, nightstand etc... I even wiped everything down with sanitizing wipes and made my children ware shower shoes. I wouldn't recommend staying their anytime soon. I would like to add that the employees were nice and understanding, and their breakfast area was clean and the food was good!

Great Bargain

The hotel was a good deal. Breakfast was simple, the pool was clean and on our visit well used. Restaurants, fast food, shopping all within walking distance. 24 hour Walgrens drug store right next door and free shuttle to Marine Corp. Base. HURRAH Staff was very accomidating and helpful. Very pleased with my stay.

Doesn't guarantee the room you ordered

According to the front desk clerk, third party booking is no guarantee of the room you paid for thru hotels dot com. We had to pay for a 3rd room to accomodate our stay, which I found bad considering we booked our 2 rooms over 21 days in advance. Perhaps this disclosure will be put into larger print.

Great Access to everything

We needed a hotel to sleep and shower, but we got much more! It was great being able to have breakfast at the hotel, it saved us a lot of time getting ready in the morning before we set out on our day. The jacuzzi and pool were a nice treat after a long day of site seeing and shopping. Not a bad neighborhood, and it's very close to the freeways. This will be our place to stay on the next visit for sure.

Visit San Diego/Stay at a hotel

Our reason for staying at this Hotel was to visit San Diego, and visit we did! The hotel was located close to everything we wanted to see and do. Our room was next to the pool and the eating area which was great. It was so nice getting to walk outside my door and get breakfast, this saved us a lot of time when getting ready in the morning and not having to decide what to do for breakfast. Some of the reviews scared me and I expected the worse, but it was great for the time we spent and the money. The carpeting could use some replacing, but over all everything was better than expected.
