Nothing Fancy but okay

The hotel is older but hard to beat the convenience of location. It's basic and nothing fancy. Staff were courteous and helpful. I stayed in a room where the toilet valve was running so I had to shut the water off. Also in the morning, there seems to be plenty of hot water and I couldn't get the water temperature down so it was a very hot shower. It's a 2 star hotel so I wasn't expecting a lot. Surrounding neighborhood was just okay. Small parking spots. Close to major San Diego attractions.

You get less than what you pay

Hotel antiquated and poorly maintained. Funky stale smell in the rooms. Refrigerator in room did not work. Water faucet came apart. Elevator not readily available. Very limited breakfast faire.

Good location , but needs re renovating

Good stay for a night or so. The location is excellent but the rooms are not well lit and may be can do with some rerenovation of the rooms. Stayed there for one night then changed to anither hotel booked again via Hotel. com which was almost same price and much much better..

Needs improvement

We requested two seperaate beds and was given one king size bed. we were promised to be moved in two days , no one called us to make the change. There was one set of towels in the room with no was cloths. Depite that the hotel was clean. The breakfasrt was ok. The location was not the best but it was convenient to shopping for food and other things.

AVOID

Terrible Hotel, falling apart. Nothing good to say about stay. Bed sheets see through, blankets full of holes. Sliding door would not lock so they put a bar to lock. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. On top of the condition I put down that I wanted no smoking room for the 2 nights and they said that was only a request and they couldn't change for either night. Service was horrible as I needed more towels and had to call 3 times. Great place if you are 20 years old and want to drink and make noise and leave beer bottles all over pool area.

get for what you pay for

overall the hotel is pretty good...the neighborhood is kind of scary but its not too bad besides that, pretty safe and good.

Great Central Location

Great central location with lots nearby including restaurants, other business and site. Freeway access is nearby and easy

Disaster

Hotel did not have a van as advertised. After taking a cab, I was informed that the hotel had over-booked - - they found me a room in another hotel which was of a poor standard,\. This experience was a disaster after a cross country flight.

The breakfast was a little "sketchy"

The room was great. It actually had a seperate bedroom which was great when I wanted to sleep and my other half wanted to watch TV! The "kitchen" downstairs where the breakfast was served, looked dingy and a bit unclean. It had concrete floors and looked a little run down. We didn't stay to eat. Other than that, for the price it was great.
