no oven mitts to use when cooking no clock on night stand no coffey or filters in room maid did not come in only gave clean towles and a trash bag each day had to switch to three rooms before we could find one ready and clean

I chose this based on the photos and the deal from the website but upon arrival was disappointed with the accommodations. Not only was it in a dicey neighborhood but there was constant noise until late at night and traffic on the boardwalk after midnight. We could see where they had tried to spruce up the place but it still needed some work. When we inquired about possibly cutting our stay short by 1 night (we had booked for 2) we were told that we would be charged full price whether we stayed or not. Needless to say, we would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great for families of 4

We were very happy with our 2 night stay at Marjac Suites. Location is great for shopping, restaurants and beach access. The room is pretty raw but clean and comfortable sleeping with a very nice view. The living area is very small and only has one loveseat/sleeper so it's not real comfortable for long periods of time; but sufficient for quick breaks from activities. Most dishes were provided for a family of 4 but you might want to bring dish soap, paper towels, plates, cups, mixing bowls and serving dishes, FYI :o)

Great room for the money

I could not afford a vacation but for the money spent at this hotel. It more than met my expectations. I parked my car and didn't move it until it was time to go. Great location, you could walk to where ever. The beach was right there. Now the downside which really wasn't a big deal but it may be for some. At night there were bands playing outside and when we tried sleeping it got pretty loud, and the one elevator they have is very slow and small. I think those were the only things that were a little annoying. Oh, in the bedroom the tv didn't work, but again that was not a big deal because we were out most of the time. I would definately go and stay there again!

Not what it was represented to be

The swimming pool is in the parking lot. The lobby is no bigger than a broom closet. The people working at the hotel were nice. However, this is a destination best left to college kids. If you are a family, you'd be better served going somewhere else. It was not quiet. I didn't feel safe.

Great Hotel

Everything was great at this hotel. You were right on the boardwalk and strip. We had a housekeeper named Rashawn who could not have been more accomodating. He was the bright spot of the staff. Every morning he was there with a good morning, How r u, is there anything i can get for you. Every hotel should have staff like him. The place was recently renovated and it was a great place to stay.The rest of the staff was just ok.

Good Vacation Hotel

Room was good size for our group of 4. Had everything we needed to make our meals, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Not too bad for the money

I figured there must be some reason for the hotel to have such a cheap rate for the area. Even though it was off season we had a very inexpensive stay at Marjac. However, online it looked as though we had private suites that were a walk out your door to the ocean. It's not like that at all. We were on the 6th floor where from the booking I thought all the suites were on the 1st right on the ocean. Our view was of the ocean, but we had to take the elevator to the bottom and walk out across the boardwalk to the beach (as do you for most of the hotels there). The hotel definitely looked nicer online than it did when we got there and the pictures that are shown are nothing like the hotel really is. However, for the money it was comfortable and we have 6 people in our family to travel with, so it was convenient not to get 2 rooms because of so many of us. The pull out couch was horrible and uncomfortable though. Also, the main gripe that I have was that housekeeping would wake us up at 8am (on our vacation!) and ask to clean our room. We turned her down almost everyday and got towels and tp from her to make due. By mid week we wanted our room cleaned so we asked her to come back later and she never came back. We called down and they said housekeeping was gone for the day so we'd get her tomorrow...in which she came at 8am again! It was very frustrating...no restaurant, room service or housekeeping on site...but it was cheap and when we got there, clean.
