Excellent location. Great price. Room would be perfect for families. Steps from the ocean. Hallways, elevator and stairwell are dirty and smelled of urine, but room was clean and beds were fairly comfortable.

This hotel is not what is viewed on the internet. The rooms are in need of repair. The maid service was poor. There are huge water bugs crawling around the floor at night. There is no radio in the rooms, no remote control to the TV's, no iron to iron clothing, all locks on the doors were broken. Had to put a chair behind the door at night. The shower knob fell off and did not work. It was so many negitive things, I can't even name them all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The owners should be ashame.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 13Worth every penny
Excellent location, right in the middle of the strip so you can park the car and walk to everything. The suite was spacious with more than enough room for just the two of us. The kitchenette was great for saving money on meals. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaints would be no water pressure in the shower and the room door had to be slammed to be secured. I would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 13Great space for the money!!!
For the money, GREAT hotel! There was a little water damage on the ceiling from the balcony above leaking. I wasn't there to look at the ceiling, so what do I care about a little chipped paint on the ceiling (not too much)? I enjoyed our oceanfront suite & spent a good deal of time on our private balcony watching the sea, surf and the people on the boardwalk. Perfect location right in the middle of the shopping and dining. We only stayed 2 nights ... wish we had had more time.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 13Great hotel, bad location
The hotel is great, but it is located in the center of Va Beach known as "the strip". If you are looking for LOUD, ROWDY, and OVERLY-CROWDED, it is the location for you. If you are family oriented and want some semblance of your space being respected, too bad! The hotel is a complete stay and would get five stars if it were at either end of the beach instead of in with all the bars and partying.

Water pressure sucked, but other than that awesome newly remodeled rooms.Loved the private balcony. Service was good, not great, but would stay again.

Bathtub had soap scum in the shower. Really turned me off and I could not help but wonder what the cleaning standards were in this hotel. Also the carpet was wet- not damp- wet about 3 feet from the windows into the room. The large TV in the sitting area had a short and when we first turned it on, there were sparks. Considering the neighbors had no AC, I guess we received the "better" deal. I will no stay here again.

We stayed on the 5th floor of the hotel. The elevator did not work for 90 percent of our visit, and the stairwell did not have a very nice odor. They did not have the normal ammenities that are usually in a hotel room, like an iron and ironing board. The bathroom had strands of hair sticking to the wall of the bathtub, and a strand from a mop was on the floor when we walked through the door. The view was gorgeous, and the bed very comfortable, but the door to the room did not look very secure. You could shake the whole frame. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything! I mean EVERYTHING! Conversations, somebody bouncing a ball next door, the cleaning people talking and roling carts down the hall. People staying in the next room(s) were very inconsiderate, yelling, screaming and partying ALL NIGHT long. I read the reviews of past guests before we went, and they said it was noisy from music from bars across the street. That music would have been welcomed instead of hearing what we heard! We will not stay there again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 13Very nice room with upgraded everything except the toilet!
We only enjoyed our stay after we got over how unsanitary the toilet was and the toilet seat was in bad need of replacing. I make it a point to take along some pine sol and toilet seat covers whenever I stay in a hotel room, but I'm use to cleaning areas where you don't see visible signs of uncleanliness. The toilet seat even had one of those toilet sealers that documents that the toilet hasn't been used since it was last cleaned. After I disinfected the whole place and took a shower, we thoroughly enjoyed the room.
