Boston Park Plaza Hotel

Grand old style but short on amenities.

Great location and old style ambience. Very clean & comfortable room and beds. Missing a lot of amenities that I expect from a hotel of this price and rating. No free newspapers or coffee. I think they have an exercise room in the basement but it is not mentioned on the website or in the service listing in the room.

Outstanding value

We were very surprised at the quality and size of the room and felt we had really got very good value. The staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgable about Boston. The location was sensational and within easy walking distance of all of the major downtown areas and if you wanted public transport it was 3 minutes walk to the light rail.

Hotel maintenance time

I did not appreciate the hotel allowing maintenance work to start at 7:00am. This was LOUD - an impact drill. Fortunately I had gone to bed early. 8:30am would have been more appropriate.

Fire Alarms

Fire alarms were going off alot. Once it was at 4:45 in AM. We got up and got dressed and waited for instructions which never came. Sd. false alarm. Alarms and fire trucks came again the next day. Talked to other guests who said they stayed there before and same thing was happening then.

Great Location

Perfect location for visiting all the sites of Boston. Subway just steps away. Hotel is next to Boston Commons a beautiful city park. Hotel was the best we've stayed at so far. Room was quiet and beautiful.

Great hotel experience

We wanted a room on a lower floor. They were very accomodating, and gave us a room on the 5th floor, their lowest room floor. The desk personnel and Concierges were extremely helpful to two people who had never visited Boston before, giving us many helpful tips and directions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well maintained. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful Hotel

We were pleased with how quiet our room was, how very fast the elevator service, and most of all how convinient to all of Boston. Just a block to the T stop, and a direct line to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and plenty of cabs at the door.

Very nice, convenient hotel

This hotel was very, very nice. We appreciated that it was an older hotel that had been renovated with some of the historic characteristics left intact. The service was impeccable, from the doorman to the maintenance personnel that responded immediately when we needed an adjustment to our air conditioning in the room. There are top-rated restaurants, parks, the subway and shopping across the street from this hotel. Would love to stay there again soon!

Great location

The hotel is centrally located with very easy access to the subway system. Spent 6 days and did not need a car. However, renting a car for a day trip is very easy at the Hertz across the street.
