Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 606Location great. Everything else so-so.
This hotel is old, so it makes sense that the hallways and stuff are old. The bathroom was old beyond reason. Just not a good bathroom. The room was tiny tiny tiny. Keep that in mind. I knew that going in thanks to other hotels.com reviews. You cannot have more than two people in these rooms or there will be no place to put your bags. The room was an inferno when we walked in and we couldn't get it cold. Too hot. Bed was very soft and the pillows were really thick. Location was great for a Back Bay/Downtown/Theater District adventure. The area is a bit haughty. There was always cabs waiting outside for hotel patrons. Many restaurants walkable.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 606Great Price for a Single
I recently stayed in a single room and I have to say, the hotel is very nice. The rooms are clean, the beds are awesome, and the desk in my room did its job well. Only negative thing is they try to nickel and dime you if you want to use their business center. Fee for just logging into the computer, and I'm sure a fee for printing too. The surrounding neighborhood has some nice restaurants and clubs. Great hotel for the price; thinking of going back there soon! I should note, after 12-1am, don't wander too far alone. Panhandlers come out in force. As long as you stay within a block or two of the hotel, or take a cab, it's fine. But if you walk, expect to be hassled at every corner. The staff does a good job at keeping them out of the hotel, too.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 606just ok
Hotel staff was very friendly and the location is perfect. The rooms however are a bit disappointing. The bathroom was rediculously small, outdated and had a faint stench of the sewer.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 606Great Hotel, Excellent Service
The day after we checked in for a 4-day stay, a jack hammer started up in the early morning. Even though it was not from their own construction, the room manager and his staff addressed the issue perfectly and moved us away to another room without noise. The staff was very responsive to our needs and made the move effortless for us.

Stayed here twice. Handicapped bathrooms are excellent and was put near elevators. A plus is that the rooms have two bathrooms

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 606Great location but...very small rooms.
Location, location, location. Within walking distance to major attractions and restaurants. Also very convenient to the subway. Our only complaint was the size of the rooms..very small for two people. On-site parking is pretty expensive @ $40 per night, however, that seems to be the going rate in Boston. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 606Nice hotel, small room, comfy bed!
the hotel has an extremly nice lobby area and the hotel is very well kept. Rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. The beds are great however! only a couple of blocks for newberry st. All boston hotels seemed a little on the expensive side, but given other prices, I think its great value for money at the Park Plaza.
