Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 26Contemporary Comfort
Watertown is a very modern-styled hotel with contemporary designs everywhere. Our room was huge, much bigger than expected. Often, rooms are just big enough to hold the beds, but our room had plenty of open space. The microwave and refrigerator were convenient, not to mention the ability to rent bicycles from the hotel. Full breakfast (complete with bacon and scrambled eggs) makes this hotel a real bargain. It would be perfect if it had a swimming pool. Only complaint is that the parking spaces in the garage are so tiny, getting in a space can be next to impossible when the hotel is full.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 26A Good Hotel
The Watertown is a good hotel located near the University of Washington. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Free parking located in underground garage. Stalls are a little tight. Convenient shuttle service to different points in the local area. However, do make reservations for a shuttle drop off/pick up. The shuttle is a mini-van, and it can only accomadate 6 passengers. A short walk to Universtiy Way, will get you to buses(to downtown), shops, and restaurants. Would definetly stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 26Uncomfortable room
Don't bother with the lowest-cost "studio". We had to sit on the beds because there were no chairs in the room. Beds were old and uncomfortable and our view looked out on their dumpster. On a better note, they have free, secured, underground parking.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 26Very nice hotel
I enjoyed the modern style. The nautical theme was quite pleasent. The hotel was much nicer than what I expected. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 26Pleasantly Surprised!
The hotel was old, but had been renovated and the appointments were all new. The room was spacious with a microwave, and refrigerator. The staff was very courteous. The breakfast selection was excellent! It was a little tricky to find, but was close to the university, and also to the downtown area.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 26Comfortable rooms, convenient location
We often stay at the Watertown when visiting Seattle. As former Seattle residents, it's great to be back in the area and the proximity to restaurants, campus, freeway and transportation options, plus free parking, is terrific. They've reduced service a bit due to (I'm guessing) the economic downturn, and it's a bit disappointing to have breakfast served with disposable everything which rather cheapens the experience. At least breakfast is still free! They no longer have wine tasting and apps daily, only on weekend (including Thurs and Friday) nights. Our long standing minor complaint is that the window blinds roll down from the top, meaning that you cannot have the full length window facing the bathroom area open as you will be exposed to people looking up. I like natural light, so really wish the blinds would roll from the bottom. Overall, minor issue. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the larger "suites". Having a microwave and fridge is very convenient and becoming a rarity. Free wireless that works is another plus. And free parking! Really, the Watertown is an amazing deal for such comfortable and nice accommodations. Try the Portage Bay Cafe just down the street. Good stuff. There are tons of dining options within walking distance.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 26Great Value Hotel
We were very impressed with the Watertown: large comfortable room; large bathroom; great complimentary breakfast (continental BF plus scrambled eggs & BF meat; 24 hr coffee/tea in lobby; complimentary parking with secured parking garage (albeit, most parking spaces for compact cars); in room refrig, microwave & coffee maker, complimentary coffee, tea, popcorn; filtered tap water; friendly staff. Areas for improvement: More lighting in rooms (especially in entry and desk areas) and should change the window covering used to include a sheer lining type that allows sunlight to brighten the room and still provides privacy. Location such that easy access from I-5; restaurants, gas station, Trader Joe nearby.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 26Reception
The sign at the the breakfast room stated there was a managers reception at XXXpm we went down and there was no reception at that time, after asking at the lobby they stated " we don't have one now but we may in the future" how hard would it be to take the sign down. Overall was the staff friendly--No Would I stay there again, when I visit my son at UW I might or more likely go to the Silver Cloud

Extremely nice and helpful staff. Whatever our need they were ready and willing to help. Their complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful - far better than I've experienced at similar hotels. The rooms are a touch small but easily overlooked by comfortable style and cleanliness. This hotel offers free parking - most in the area charge $20 + per night. They also offer very unique "carts" that can be reserved at no extra charge - just call ahead to make sure one is reserved for you. They offer carts with games, TV/DVD + movie selections, baby cart, etc. Very nice, unique touch. We will definitely be staying at this hotel on every return to Seattle.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 26GREAT place to stay!
We chose to stay by UW instead of downtown so our family could get a feel for the university area. We kept saying how great this hotel was! The hotel is nicely appointed and has everything you need. The staff was friendly & helpful. The free & safe underground parking plus free full breakfast - makes the overall package very hard to beat. A+!
